Hello my dear friends of family & friends, I've been a little lost, but I'm back, it's a pleasure for me to be back in this beautiful community, even more to talk about a beautiful topic like friendship.
Hoy vengo a hablarles de mi querida amiga Mariaura, nos vimos por primera vez hace 5 años en el gimnasio, pero ese día me dio la impresión de haberla conocido de toda la vida, así que desde el primer día que hablamos congeniamos muy bien, siempre nos acompañábamos y nos animábamos a entrenar.
La amistad fue creciendo, y además de compartir momentos agradables, también nos tuvimos la confianza de ir contándonos las cosas que nos angustiaban y esas cosas que no nos atrevíamos a contarle a más nadie, sin juzgarnos, dándonos siempre el ánimo y los consejos que creemos que necesitamos. Para mí eso es parte importante de una gran amistad, que sea un espacio seguro en el que puedas contar tus problemas, angustias, tus alegrías y también tus tristezas con la seguridad de que no vas a ser juzgado sino más bien serás animado y te darán los consejos para ayudarte a seguir adelante.
Today I come to tell you about my dear friend Mariaura, we met for the first time 5 years ago at the gym, but that day gave me the impression of having known her all my life, so from the first day we talked we hit it off very well, we always accompanied each other and encouraged each other to train.
The friendship grew, and besides sharing pleasant moments, we also had the confidence to tell each other the things that distressed us and those things that we did not dare to tell anyone else, without judging each other, always giving us the encouragement and advice that we think we need. For me that is an important part of a great friendship, that it is a safe space where you can tell your problems, anxieties, your joys and also your sadness with the assurance that you will not be judged but rather you will be encouraged and you will be given advice to help you move forward.
Luego, apareció la pandemia con su cuarentena radical, la cual no solo separo amistades sino familias enteras. Así fue como dejamos de vernos por un tiempo ya que vivimos en la misma ciudad pero un poco alejadas, ambas nos contagiamos en diferentes momentos de COVID y ahí siempre estábamos pendientes la una de la otra, de cómo nos sentíamos y dándonos ánimo para soportar tanto malestar. En todo ese tiempo sin vernos la distancia nunca fue un problema porque nos seguimos escribiendo y llamando para conversar y contarnos nuestras vivencias diarias.
Then, the pandemic appeared with its radical quarantine, which not only separated friendships but entire families. That is how we stopped seeing each other for a while since we live in the same city but a little far away, we both got COVID at different times and there we were always aware of each other, how we felt and giving each other encouragement to endure so much discomfort. In all that time without seeing each other, distance was never a problem because we kept writing and calling each other to talk and tell each other our daily experiences.
Al pasar un poco las restricciones sanitarias comenzamos a hacer planes para vernos, hasta que un día por fin nos pusimos de acuerdo para ir a un lugar bonito a comer juntas, en cuanto nos vimos nos dimos un gran abrazo, pasamos horas conversando sobre todo lo acontecido en el tiempo que estuvimos sin vernos. Era como si el tiempo no hubiera pasado, la amistad estaba completamente intacta por el cariño y la confianza que nos une.
As the sanitary restrictions passed, we began to make plans to see each other, until one day we finally agreed to go to a nice place to eat together, as soon as we saw each other we gave each other a big hug, we spent hours talking about everything that had happened during the time we had not seen each other. It was as if time had not passed, the friendship was completely intact because of the affection and trust that unites us.
A finales del año pasado empecé a ir de nuevo al gimnasio, aunque tenía un cierto temor de contagiarme nuevamente de ese terrible virus al encontrarme en ese ambiente que tanto extrañaba me sentí liberada de mis miedos. Ella no dejo de entrenar en ningún momento en pandemia, ya que lo hacía en su casa, mientras yo me dedicaba a preparar postres y degustarlos jajajaja.
Desde que volvimos al gimnasio hemos entrenando juntas, aprovechando el tiempo que compartimos para bromear con los entrenadores y reír a carcajadas por cualquier cosa, mientras nos ponemos al día con nuestras cosas.
At the end of last year I started going to the gym again, although I had a certain fear of catching that terrible virus again when I found myself in that environment that I missed so much, I felt liberated from my fears. She did not stop training at any time in pandemic, since she did it at home, while I dedicated myself to prepare desserts and taste them hahahaha.
Since we got back to the gym we have been training together, taking advantage of the time we share to joke around with the trainers and laugh out loud about anything, while catching up on our stuff.
Cuan valioso es tener una amistad así en nuestras vidas, ya que sabiendo valorar las relaciones interpersonales sinceras que se conectan desde el amor fraterno pueden durar para toda la vida.
