En varias oportunidades ya he mencionado el bautizo de Amaya y he desarrollado algunos posts con ese tema porque realmente tengo mucho que compartir sobre ese día y este post en particular es para hablarles a detalle sobre ese gran evento que después de tanta planificación finalmente se llevó a cabo a principios del mes de Mayo, específicamente el día 4 que fue la fecha elegida para bautizar a la más pequeña de la casa, justo el día en el que cumplía sus 6 meses de vida.
On several occasions I have already mentioned Amaya's baptism and I have developed some posts with that topic because I really have a lot to share about that day and this post in particular is to talk to you in detail about that great event that after so much planning finally took place. It took place at the beginning of the month of May, specifically on the 4th, which was the date chosen to baptize the youngest of the house, exactly the day she turned 6 months old.
A pesar de haber planeado todo con mucho tiempo y tener todo preparado para ese día hubo algunos contratiempos, se había fijado como hora del bautizo las 12 del mediodía pero se realizó aproximadamente a las 3 pm que fue cuando finalmente el padre llegó. El bautizo tuvo lugar en la Catedral Nuestra Señora del Carmen aquí en la ciudad de Maturín y la verdad me pareció un lugar más que perfecto ya que se trataba de una ocasión sumamente especial y no hay mejor lugar para este tipo de eventos que ese tan grande y majestuoso.
Despite having planned everything in advance and having everything prepared for that day, there were some setbacks. The baptism time had been set at 12 noon but it took place at approximately 3 pm, which was when the father finally arrived. The baptism took place at the Our Lady of Carmen Cathedral here in the city of Maturín and the truth is that it seemed like a more than perfect place since it was an extremely special occasion and there is no better place for this type of event. That's so big and majestic.
Llegando a la Catedral nos hicieron pasar a un pequeño salón donde se realizan los bautizos mientras esperábamos que el padre se preparara, allí nos ubicamos todos ordenadamente en los asientos, quedando los padres al frente, madrinas y padrinos a un lado y los demás familiares de otro.
Arriving at the Cathedral, they made us go into a small room where baptisms are performed while we waited for the father to get ready. There we all sat down neatly in the seats, with the parents in front, godmothers and godfathers on one side, and the other family members. other.
En cuanto a padrinos Amaya tuvo 2 y 2 madrinas, una de ellas fui yo y más feliz no podía estar por eso. Éramos muy pocos los presentes, pues, fue algo bastante pequeño e íntimo con solo los más allegados como invitados.
As for godparents, Amaya had 2 and 2 godmothers, one of them was me and I couldn't be happier for that. There were very few of us present, therefore, it was something quite small and intimate with only those closest to us as guests.
Apenas entró el padre a la sala se dio inicio a la ceremonia de bautizo, nos pidieron a los padrinos hacer la señal de la cruz en la frente de la bebé y luego el padre le hizo una en su pecho. En ese punto Amaya estaba tranquila, aunque se le notaba bastante confundida ya que no entendía nada de lo que pasaba.
As soon as the father entered the room, the baptism ceremony began. They asked the godparents to make the sign of the cross on the baby's forehead and then the father made one on her chest. At that point Amaya was calm, although she seemed quite confused since she did not understand anything of what was happening.
Los padrinos junto a los padres nos colocamos en medio de la sala alrededor de una especie de batea mientras el padre bendecía el agua, luego nos pidieron acercarnos y colocar una mano detrás de la cabeza de la bebé mientras el padre le colocaba el agua bautizándola así.
The godparents along with the parents stood in the middle of the room around a kind of basin while the father blessed the water, then they asked us to come closer and place a hand behind the baby's head while the father placed the water in her, baptizing her that way. .
En este punto fue necesario hacer uso del pañuelo blanco colocándolo en la cabeza de la bebé y también de la velita blanca que los padrinos debíamos sostener mientras el padre decía unas palabras.
At this point it was necessary to use the white handkerchief by placing it on the baby's head and also the white candle that we godparents had to hold while the father said a few words.
Finalmente los padrinos debíamos darle la bendición por primera vez a nuestra ahijada y hacer nuevamente la señal de la cruz en su frente. El padre cargó a Amaya levantándola y dándole la bienvenida como hija de Dios, por supuesto Amaya estaba llorando mucho y aunque su mamá quería cargarla para calmarla el padre dijo que aprovecharan de tomar las fotos que quisieran, fue allí cuando nos reunimos los padrinos con los padres, el padre y la bebé para las fotos de recuerdo.
Finally, we godparents had to bless our goddaughter for the first time and make the sign of the cross on her forehead again. The father picked up Amaya, lifting her up and welcoming her as a daughter of God. Of course Amaya was crying a lot and although her mother wanted to hold her to calm her down, the father said that they should take advantage of taking whatever photos they wanted. It was there that the godparents met with the godparents. parents, the father and the baby for souvenir photos.
Ya finalizada la ceremonia salimos de esa sala y fuimos a tomar unas cuantas fotos antes de salir de la catedral y antes de retirarnos repartimos unas lindas tarjetas y un recuerdo del bautizo a los invitados presentes. Posteriormente fuimos a un restaurante donde tuvimos un almuerzo familiar y por último tuvimos una pequeña e íntima celebración en casa de mis suegros donde hice una linda decoración y tuvimos algunos pasapalos y bebidas para brindar pero para no alargarme más les contaré de eso en otro post, mientras tanto les dejo este con muchas fotos lindas de ese día.
Once the ceremony was over, we left that room and went to take a few photos before leaving the cathedral and before leaving we distributed some nice cards and a souvenir of the baptism to the guests present. Later we went to a restaurant where we had a family lunch and finally we had a small and intimate celebration at my in-laws' house where I made a nice decoration and we had some appetizers and drinks to toast but in order not to go on any longer I will tell you about it in another post, Meanwhile I leave you this with many beautiful photos from that day.
