Any festival in India is supposed to be about faith and belief. People from all walk of the life have their own culture and tradition to go with their own faith. They want to make their time special in every possible way. And to show a glimpse I can share this image from a worshipping sight.
As it looks to be a real boat sailing over the water. I may clear it first that this is not real. This is just a part of decoration on the ocassion of Chatth Festival. It was placed right in front of the waterfront, just to add that "X" factor to make the ocassion entertaining and exciting. While chatth is one of the auspicious ocassion for many region. Where a single devotee pray for many people.
People went to the nearby water front to worship setting sun and then next day rising sun. And many people accompany them to be part of the special ocassion. So it's all about water.
And this is what this boat add besuty to the place. It was just part of decoration and not been used for sailing purpose. As we have many numrous ponds, which does not require boats to ferry them. The boat is nicely been colored and decorated to allow people to take a feel of the ocassion. It was the centre stage as many people make it memorable with such set up.
The colour and decoration gives a glimpse of the local art and also how important a festival can be for people. It does signify the importance of festival for Indians. Trully attractive to woo people to get closer and enjoy a Titanic feel.
Apart from these decoration, the entire area too illuminated with fairy lights that make every street to glow it is always good tonhave such lighting to make it a special ocassion. I happen to enjoy these lights as it becomes a part of every festival. Not only Diwali these lights were used for other festival too and now a common thing for every ocassion.
Indian festival is incomplete without fruits and chatth occupy a special place for all.kind of festival. People try to offer their own respect by distributing fruits to the worshippers. They have the entire Banana to offer and all apple to distribute.
During the festival time, people not only decorate their home but also streets, roads, shops, market. As they now how to make an ocassion special. Hope you enjoy this little lifestyle glimpses of India.
