BEFORE YOU HAND IT OVER TO GOD
We see Jesus; in our Scripture text opting for something which sounded obviously more difficult, when there was something everyone thought would have been a much easier approach. It seems to me that with God, it doesn’t have to be easy. God is not looking for the easy way out, the more difficult a situation is with men; the more attractive it is for God. It is very true that God waits to take it up from the point where men give it up.
As long as it is still within the confines of man’s ability, God is far from it; because His glory He will share with no man and His praise He will not give unto graven images. Until it has become too difficult for you to handle and you are prepared to hands off; it is never an attraction to God why should God take over what you feel you can do? God waits for you to exhaust your own idea, so He can come with His own.
Faced with an alliance of three nations, that came against Judah in warfare; Jehoshaphat king of Judah cried unto the Lord and said – “Neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon Thee” 2 Chronicles 20:12. That was all God wanted to hear and He sent His Word unto Jehoshaphat through Jehaziel the son of Zachariah – “Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason by this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s” 2 Chronicles 20:12b.

Until you allow it slip out of your hands, it never gets into His hands. God is not waiting to have it when it is still easy to manage. God delights in having it when it has become impossible with men. It may be impossible with men, but not with God; for with God, all things are possible. He is the God of all flesh and there is nothing too hard for Him.
No matter how troubled the waters are, you will see God come into the waters for your help. The heat of the fire notwithstanding, He will find His way right in for your deliverance. Every attempt by the enemy to get you farther away from the help men can render is simply bringing you to the arena of God’s deliverance. Cheer up! Help is on the way.
