Luke 14:28-30; For which of you intending to build a tower, sits not down first, and count the cost whether he have sufficient to finish it? Lest haply, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him, saying, this man began to build and was not able to finish.
There is a cost to everything in this life and in as much as Christianity is free for the Lord has already paid the ultimate price for our lives with his blood there is one step, the important cost that we forget to about until we reach a point where it becomes pertinent and then we get stuck.
Christ did repeat a lot of times in the scripture that for one to follow him they had to forego everything but we forget about this important statement. The ultimate cost to being a disciple, a follower of Christian, a Christian and thus a Christ-like person.
So if you have not done this already, take a moment and do it for there will come a time that you will have to forgo some worldly pleasures you did not consider from the start to be able to continue your journey with Christ.
Are you ready to pay the ultimate price? The Cost of Being with Christ? Forgoing all worldly pleasures and everything else that does not tally with the Life of Christian? Knowing what you are signing up for and either go in full out or stay out. Have a blessed week.
