2 Chronicles 16:7 And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the LORD thy God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thine hand.

Many people get comfortable when everything is going just wonderfully well, they have money in the bank,a good job, nice family and all the perks. At such times, they may think "life couldn't get better than this".They get wrapped up in the wonderful life, not knowing that God has so much more in store for them.
King Asa in the bible had cried out to God to help him defeat a large army and God helped him. For several years after that, his land was free from war and God prospered him. In the course of time, his kingdom was threatened again but this time , king Asa behaved differently. Since he was now a big shot,he decided that he could pay his way out of the problem and he took silver and gold out of the Lord's house. He induced the king of Syria to join forces with him. Sure enough, his money saw him through but the prophet of God came to him with a shocker.
"King Asa"the prophet said,"God was planing to put the king of Syria whom you ran for help under your dominion" .What a chance Asa missed. He didn't know that God had such a plan to make his kingdom greater and from that time on,his life was full of troubles and wars.
And at times the same happens to us,we feel so arrived in the little blessings, success and promotion we enjoy not knowing God is planning greater ones for us.
God isn't through with you yet.The victories and achievement He has given you are but little. While believing God for greater heights the right attitude is required. You may be comfortable like Asa was,in your job or business but do you think that God can make you the owner of the business?.Always have the consciousness that if God brought you this far,He has a higher level for you. Trust Him, follow him and you'll know the life of continuous victory and progress.
