Not every job is for you.
Not every man is your husband, or woman your wife.
You are not supposed to live just anywhere you choose.
In Christ, there is a specific purpose, a calling and a will of God for each of our lives.
God did not intend that we grope around in darkened trials and errors, not really knowing what we ought to be doing and where we ought to be in life per time. And just going with “whatever works”.
A critical part of knowing the peace of God that passes all understanding is in seeking out and submitting yourself to God’s plan and purpose for your own life. Not another’s, but yours.
It causes you to cease from many labors and struggles. And drives envy, vain glory and the evil spirit of competition to be like others very far from your life.
Do you know what you were put on this earth to do? Do you even believe you can know it?
God is not hoarding these details from you. He wants us to know them. He wants them to be known.
But the secrets of the Lord are with those who fear Him; who seek Him and who know how to access the heart of God. Those are the ones who will find where and what God has written concerning their lives and will enter into their rest.
Are you struggling? Are you trying out everything and anything hoping that in so doing something will work out for you?
Are you living—howbeit successfully by worldly standards, but can’t really say with all confidence that you are living in the will of God for your life?
If you are, then the Lord is calling out to you today to seek Him with a pure heart and He guarantees that you will find Him.
Lay aside your personal and selfish ambitions and approach His heart with a willingness to do and serve His will only.
Take upon you His yoke and learn of Him. In laying down those dreams and plans that were borne outside of God, you will lay hold on the core essence of your life. And you will indeed live.
A life is wasted that is lived for everything else but for the purpose for which it was created.
If we don’t live for, and fulfill the will of Him who has sent us into this field of His harvest in this life, we would not have truly lived. There is a purpose to for you to serve. And there is a window of time for that purpose to be served. When night falls on your own window of time, you can no longer work and you would not have lived.
Lay hold on this, and you shall indeed live.
