Esta mañana, antes de dar una vuelta rápida por Ikea a buscar muebles, volvimos a hacer algunas reparaciones en la casa. Primero, fuimos de compras a la ferretería local. Compramos más decapante y un rodillo porque tenemos dos brochas y pinceles, pero no rodillo. Luego, mi esposo se perdió en la sección de puertas y, desde fuera, se obsesionó con querer una puerta más resistente. De todas formas, siempre se pierde en las ferreterías. ¿Les pasa esto a sus hombres? Cuando por fin conseguimos lo que necesitábamos, retomamos el trabajo después de quitar el moho, o al menos la mayor parte. Empecé a pintar porque mi esposo odia pintar. Usé una brocha para pintar las zonas bajas de la cocina y el salón. Por desgracia, aunque me había equipado con lonas protectoras y cinta de carrocero, aun así ensucié el suelo. Me tomó varias horas y me dolían bastante los brazos, en algunos lugares no fue fácil porque los cepillos también son grandes y tengo que comprar un cepillo más pequeño para hacer las partes más pequeñas de la casa.

We picked up more paint remover and a roller because we have two paintbrushes and some brushes, but no roller. Then, my husband got lost in the doors section and, from the outside, became obsessed with wanting a more sturdy door. He always gets lost in DIY stores, anyway. Does this happen to your men? When we finally got out with what we needed, we resumed our work after removing the mold, or at least the bulk of it. I started painting because my husband hates painting. I used a paintbrush to do the lower areas of the kitchen and living room. Unfortunately, even though I had equipped myself with drop cloths and masking tape, I still managed to get the floor dirty. It took me several hours and my arms were quite sore, in some places it wasn't easy because the brushes are also big and I have to buy a smaller brush to do the smaller parts of the house.
No soy pintor profesional y no tenemos dinero para pagar uno, así que lo haremos nosotros mismos. Por ahora, hemos decidido pintar toda la casa de blanco. Luego experimentaremos con otros colores o diseños en las paredes porque tengo muchísimas ideas, pero por ahora, el blanco está bien. Ya sabes, pintar no es fácil, o mejor dicho, es un trabajo bastante largo. Solo pinté dos habitaciones en dos días, y probablemente ni siquiera quedarán perfectas, pero ahora las paredes son todas blancas. Como puedes ver, todavía queda mucho por hacer y mucha confusión, pero de todos modos estoy satisfecho. Mañana me extraen una muela y no creo que pueda volver a pintar, pero pienso pintar las otras habitaciones de abajo durante el fin de semana. Creo que quedarán unas paredes blancas muy bonitas y limpias.

Me parece bien que pongas todo de blanco para tener una base neutra que puedas combinar después con otros colores.
