Another McRae family member to start with rallying soon

in Rally4 years ago

Hi, friends!

We all know who famous Colin McRae was but only hard core fans know that there was some Alister McRae who was Hyundai and Mitsubishi works driver and who finished his WRC career with Production WRC season in 2004.

Alister never won in the World Rally Championship but he had only one outing with the top machinery - when he and his brother Colin drove for Subaru at the end of 1998. Back then, Piero Liatti signed for Seat and it was published before the end of that season so Subaru Prodrive team let McRae jr to drive.

Alister posted some good times there and he finished first leg 2nd overall behind Colin. That moment works teams knew he had potential.

Now we have Alister's son Max who lives in Australia these days with his parents.

He is 15 at the moment but in a few months he will be 16 and he will have some kind of a driving license needed for rally driving.

Let we see what brings young Max McRae for the world of rallying.
