It seems that competition between manufacturers in WRC2 class becomes stronger and stronger, now when Toyota enters their Yaris Rally2 car into the fight but also when M-Sport's Ford Fiesta Rally2 became wćvery fast and competitive in 2023.
Citroën is already a proven winner on dry tarmac and now they want even more and that's why they signed two prominent drivers for 2024. Yohan Rossel won on two occasions this season and Nikolay Gryazin was on the podium four times in 2023.
Gryzin also hasa knowledge of Škoda's latest machinery Fabia RS Rally2 car from this year's drive with Toksport, Škoda's satellite team and that could help Citroën to find what's missing in their performance on gravel.
