Hi, friends!
Ex-DTM legend and World RX champion Mattias Ekstrom is a big fan of rallying and he recently competed in the Arctic Rally Finland with Škoda Fabia Rally2 car.
But I didn't know that is in the new rally project with Audi and this car is called A1 quattro rally car, just like the car from the Group B era.
Well, Ekstrom is the face of Audi brand so it is nothing new that he decided to build this car with the same brand he represents in the World RX championship.
This car belongs into the R4 class which is four wheel drive machinery with 1.6 turbo engine which develops around 263bhp.
It is not enough to compete against Rally2 and R5 cars but it is kinda class for a newcomers into the rally sport or some cup.
Only time will tell how successful this machine can be but they decided to put Emil Bergkvist, ex-Junior European Rally Champion, as a test driver.
Later also Group B legend Stig Blomquist tested the car as you can see from the videos.
The price is still unknon but I guess it will be bellow 200 000€.
