To be honest, I enjoy watching mechanics working on the rally cars. I also like filming some service time during our rallies and putting that on our YouTube channel.I try to do that during every rally we enter but sometimes, when it is too much technical problems, I don't have enough time to do that so I help guys as much as I can during the break.
When you look at the guys from the World Rally Championship, it is obvious that they are highly professional crew which know at every point what to do and every mechanic has its own job for which he is train to the highest level.
Changing the set-up from grave to tarmac (or vice-verse) is the biggest problem of all, bigger then to change the gearbox. You have to change the whole suspension and crew usually has 45 minutes time for this.
In this short documentary from RedBull TV you can see just that - guys are doing their best to change the whole suspension from their M-Sport Ford Fiesta WRC car just in time.
I watched these guys live doing their job during the testing ahead of WRC Croatia Rally but never doing the whole suspension process in 45 minutes.
