(English version below)Es mi primer post en esta Comunidad de mi apreciado @wesphilbin y me alegra cerrar el año participando en ella y compartiendo mis pensamientos de fin de año y algunas de mis tradiciones.
En casa no nos inculcaron rituales, ceremonias o tradiciones para celebrar alguna festividad en particular, más allá de los que seguíamos para realizar los sacramentos de la iglesia, y en las navidades nos habituábamos a las costumbres del lugar donde celebramos o de las personas con las que celebramos.
Tal vez la única tradición que hacemos rigurosamente cada año independientemente del lugar o de las personas es la de pedir deseos al momento de las campanadas con las 12 uvas.
En mi infancia no ponía mayor atención a los deseos sino comerme las uvas que son una de mis frutas favoritas, recuerdo que cuando iba por la cuarta o quinta ya había olvidado lo que había pedido en los primeros deseos, jajajaa,,, con el tiempo me fui dando cuenta que la tradición perdía la esencia porque no había realmente la intención del deseo, en medio de los abrazos de fin de año, la emoción de la celebración, los traguitos demás… ¿Quién puede concentrarse en pedir 12 deseos? Y después recordar lo que pediste en medio de todo el algarabío y las circunstancias.
Sin embargo, como es la única tradición que mi mamá se ha empeñado en mantener año tras año, y luego de saber más del poder de la intención y del deseo, me tomo este ritual muy en serio desde hace unos años, en ellos he logrado en medio del algarabío de la celebración, abstraerme unos minutos para proyectar el próximo año y poner toda mi intención en esos deseos que quiero ver materializados.
Es una linda experiencia porque siento que va preparando tu energía para recibir el nuevo año, y desde que me di cuenta del enorme significado que puede tener, o al menos el que le di buscándole el sentido, siento que es un ritual que le enseñaría a mis generaciones futuras, tal vez de otra manera, probablemente haga más hincapié en tomarse esos minutos para pensar en el próximo año y marcar con buena intención cada uno de sus meses, teniendo presente tus deseos.
Incluso, muchos de mis deseos los dedico a otras personas o situaciones, y esto hace aún más bonito este ritual.
Otra cosa que acostumbro hacer es una carta al año que termina, y si no puedo escribirla, simplemente dedico unos minutos en mi mente para despedirlo con gratitud haciendo un recuento de los aprendizajes que tuve y las cosas que me van quedando pendiente para el año siguiente. Esto si es una práctica personal que hago generalmente la mañana del 31 de diciembre.

Who can concentrate on making 12 wishes? And then remember what you asked for amidst all the hullabaloo and circumstances.
However, as it is the only tradition that my mother has insisted on maintaining year after year, and after learning more about the power of intention and desire, I have been taking this ritual very seriously for a few years now, in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the celebration, I have managed to take a few minutes to project the coming year and put all my intention in those wishes that I want to see materialize.
It is a nice experience because I feel that it prepares your energy to receive the new year, and since I realized the enormous meaning it can have, or at least the one I gave it looking for meaning, I feel it is a ritual that I would teach my future generations, perhaps otherwise, I would probably put more emphasis on taking those minutes to think about the next year and mark with good intention each of its months, keeping in mind your wishes.
I even dedicate many of my wishes to other people or situations, and this makes this ritual even nicer.
Another thing I usually do is a letter to the year that ends, and if I can't write it, I simply dedicate a few minutes in my mind to say goodbye with gratitude, making a recount of the learning I had and the things I have left pending for the following year. This is a personal practice that I usually do on the morning of December 31st.

Twelve wishes doesn't sound so bad. Each for every month. Maybe I can liken it to setting goals, only this time, you say it out so even the universe hears. That's cool.
I've also grown to reflect and express gratitude for haven made it through the past year. Just an outpour of all I felt and however the emotions come. It's always refreshing.
