The River, It Talks To Me

An eclipse they say, it happened, just the other day. I feel some what out of the loop, my head very much here on the ground, not so much time to be out looking up at the sky. Not in that way anyhow. I do look at the sky everyday, I take in what I see, but that's about it. Funny clouds and all, I don't let them get to me anymore. I'm not letting them penetrate my aura. It's my choice after all, where I put my energy. Mind over matter. I¡m putting it in to practice, not just talking about it anymore. Yes I'm overwhelmed, but for now, I am choosing to see my life as being very full at the moment. Full. full, full.

'So what are your intentions, for the eclipse?' I was asked. Well to be honest I hadn't really thought about it. Cos I wasn't even aware that it was approaching. But hey, thanks to that question, I now knew. It also coincided with my daughters Birthday. She got an awesome watercolours, paint set and she was eager for us both to try it out. So that morning on the 8th, I painted the words below. Let that be my intention, let it all come to me.

Ever morning, (well 5 out of 7), I cross the river, over a small wooden bridge. I stop midway and face the river flowing towards me, I breathe it in. Then I turn around and breathe out, watching the river flow away from me. It's become a little ritual of mine. I do it morning and evening. A great beginning and ending to my day. It's the simple things really. That's what matters the most.

The river,
It speaks to me, in whispers,
"come away with me,
fall into my depths,
surrender to my pull,
meander,
carve,
flow,
feed, bring life
into the shadows,
fall upon the darkness
that dwells within my core
anoint yourself, with new beginnings,
new drops of inspiration,
that bubble up beneath your pain.
Regain your direction,
no hesitation, just energy,
let it flow."

The way of the water,
it calls on us to remember,
to sink our feet, into life's many roles.

The river it sings to me,
humbling me,
as it softens, all that comes onto my path.
Cascading, a chorus of infinite wisdom,
to wash over our weary bones,
to penetrate the layers of our conditioning,
embedded in our bodies,
let the water, wash it all away.
