My uncle, two of my cousins, and I all decided to head out to Arizona for a little fishing vacation. It was a long drive to get out there, but luckily I didn't have to drive. First we went to Prescott and spent the first night visiting with my brother. We stayed the night there and then the next morning we headed south to Lake Pleasant where the weather was much warmer. We got a campsite and setup our camp. Then we drove into the town of Peoria to stock up on supplies. We loaded up and headed back to the lake and spent the rest of the evening fishing along the shore near our camp.

The next morning when I woke up I was greeted by a family of wild burros! They must be pretty used to people because they didn't seem to mind me at all. Once everyone was awake we made some breakfast and then headed out fishing. We drove around the lake and tried fishing some new shoreline. We saw lots of fish swimming around, but we couldn't seem to get them to bite. We tried all kinds of different techniques, but no luck. So at some point we decided to take another drive into Peoria to visit the bait shop and get some fresh bait. Then we headed back to the lake and found another nice spot on the far side of the lake and started trying the bait. The fish still didn't seem to want to bite, but my uncle was able to catch a few small ones! Two of which we kept and cooked with dinner. After a long full day of fishing (and drinking beer, lol) we headed back to our camp for another fun night of hanging out by the campfire.

The next morning we packed up camp and headed back north to Prescott. We spent the afternoon visiting with my mom and step dad and then spent the night at my brothers house again before making the long drive back to California the next morning. All in all it was a really fun trip and Lake Pleasant definitely lived up to it's name!
