Mistakes are bound to be made by us humans and one thing that's so sure is that, no one is above mistake, which means, anyone of us can make mistakes.
However, when making mistakes, we shouldn't make that kind of a mistake that will cost us our lives or things that are so valuable to us. Furthermore, we should not negatively affect others with our mistakes as well.
Having said this, I would like to talk about my mistake from last week. Just last Tuesday, I made the mistake of recharging a card worth 65k a money meant to pay my younger brother's tuition fee.
It all happened when I logged into my bank App, I was busy calling a friend on WhatsApp and instead of staying concentrated on what I was doing on my bank App, I was busy talking with my friend Shola, who told him someone asked him to help her recharge from her bank App.
So, when I heard this, my mind was occupied with what my friend told me last during the course of our conversation and instead of me to just send the money to my younger brothers account which is an opay account, I entered his phone number on the recharge card menu and that's how I made a mistake of recharging for him which I didn't know until he called to inform me about the mistake.
Even though he called to inform me, I was still not sure of what he told me, until I told my friend to excuse me so as to check the transaction. It's when I checked the transaction that I realized that I had made the mistake. I told him to go and sell it after I had called the bank to inform them but without any solution.
He promised to look for a buyer and when he got one, the amount that one told him was like slashing the whole airtime into two and since we had no choice, we sold it off and I helped him to balance it up from my own pocket.
In conclusion, I regretted the costly mistake, but one thing that i have learnt over time is that, no one is above mistake and that there's always a regret at the end of a mistake.
