LIGA DE AJEDREZ CHESS BROTHERS - Temporada 2 "Gens una sumus": Reportaje del torneo 2 y nueva convocatoria 💪♟

Un nuevo día en la escena ajedrecística de HIVE. Este domingo fue jugada la 2da ronda de la 2da temporada de la Liga de Ajedrez Chess Brothers, evento en el que participaron 27 jugadores de todos los niveles. Si aún no te has enterado de esta liga, echa un vistazo al siguiente post.

En cuanto los resultados de esta edición, @eniolw, con sus sólidos conocimientos teóricos, pudo apoderarse de la primera plaza, acumulando un marcador de 35 puntos tras haber mantenido una muy cerrada competencia hasta el último minuto con @tony1294, quien se ubicó en el 2do lugar con la misma puntuacion de 35 puntos. Tanto @eniolw como @tony1294 eran aspirantes a debutar con el oro en los torneos de la liga dado que todas las ocasiones anteriores habían sido ganadas por el actual campeón @tungphong, quien ocupó el 3er lugar esta vez con 27 puntos.

Como vemos hay algunos cambios en la clasificación, más notablemente el desplazamiento de @tungphong al segundo lugar, cediendo lugar a @eniolw. No obstante, al cabo de dos rondas, la diferencia de puntos entre los primeros lugares no es exagerada, lo cual presagia más rivalidad y determinación de parte de los jugadores para seguir participando y compitiendo.

Entre los ascensos más notables están los de @fjcr y @stayoutoftherz, quienes escalaron 5 y 4 puestos respectivamente, entrando a la zona dorada. Los descensos más notorios son los de @diegofitness92 (-9), Howarth (-6) y @lucianosky (-4), quienes han participado en las dos válidas de la liga aunque con no mucha suerte esta vez. También destaca que @schamangerbert se mantiene dentro de la zona de ganadores gracias a su notable resultado en la válida anterior.

Por su parte, hay que mencionar que solo tuvimos 3 ausencias con relación al torneo pasado (emichessmaster, madykrise y Eliana12), lo que significa que el 85% de los participantes anteriores ¡han sido consistentes hasta ahora!

También tenemos 9 jugadores debutantes en la temporada, a saber, @eliaschess333, @pamboy27 y @vjap55 que ya son conocidos para nosotros, y Chacald, Edixonluna1987, Emiliano120, JMPC81, Jonbellionfan y Lastholy, a quienes pedimos disculpas por no conocer sus cuentas de Hive :D Si la tienen, por favor hacérnoslo saber en la sección de comentarios.

Ahora echemos un vistazo a las partidas, hablemos de...

¡Los giros inesperados del día!

No podía faltar algo de diversión, y ¿qué mejor forma de hacerlo que a partir de las ocurrencias vividas durante el torneo, como los blunders y los giros inesperados? Incluso los jugadores de más alto nivel se equivocan de una manera garrafal. Hemos dedicado esta sección del post para hacer la revisión de esos momentos, todo en aras de mantener una actitud jovial y más importante aún, para aprender y no cometer nuevamente estas 'metidas de pata' como se dice coloquialmente.

Veamos este caso:

@vjap55 vs @stayoutoftherz

Desafortunadamente, la posición de las negras está bastante deteriorada y el blanco no debería tener mayores problemas en materializar la victoria. En ajedrez es importante tratar de desgastar a tu rival. Así ya tenga una mala posición, hacer esto aumentará las posibilidades de que se equivoque. En este partido puede que el segundo jugador ya se haya desgastado, ya que con sus subsiguientes jugadas él aceleró los acontecimientos.

Se jugó 17. Af4 Cd7 18. O-O-O tras lo cual el negro jugó mecánicamente 18... O-O-O??

@vjap55 vs @stayoutoftherz Las negras acaban de jugar 18. O-O-O??

Ahora las blancas dan el elegante Mate de Morphy: 19. Aa6#, un patrón bastante famoso y que ha sido empleado para la solución de muchísimos ejercicios de táctica. Sin embargo, esta derrota de primera ronda no fue la gran cosa para @stayoutoftherz quien fue capaz de recuperarse y meterse entre los primeros 10 lugares al final.

Veamos otro caso.

@rodrook vs @tony1294 Las negras no tuvieron suerte con su juego de apertura

Tras unos acontecimientos tipo montaña rusa, ambos jugadores estaban al borde del colapso tras una hora de juego bastante frenética. El torneo estaba por finalizar y @tony1294 necesitaba la victoria para así asegurar el triunfo de la válida. Sin embargo, @rodrook, quien ha venido mejorando su juego progresivamente, sentenciará a la derrota al segundo jugador con su fuerte actividad de piezas, apagando así las esperanzas de @tony1294 de conquistar su primer oro. Tras 20... Thc8? las blancas obtienen ventaja al jugar 21. Dh5+ Re7 22. Af4 h6? 23. Dg6 invadiendo el terreno de las negras. La partida se pronlongó unas cuantas jugadas más y ante la enorme presión de las blancas, el negro colapsó y abandonó.

Un gran logro para nuestro compañero de ajedrez @rodrook, quien vence a un rival con más de 800 puntos de diferencia en rating y cuya victoria es definitivamente una de las candidatas para el premio de la gran sorpresa.

Convocatoria y condiciones técnicas del torneo 3

1. Se realizará en Lichess.org.
2. Unirse al equipo de Chess Brothers.
3. Fecha y hora: Domingo 31 de octubre a las 19 GMT (3pm hora de Venezuela).
4. Modalidad y ritmo: Arena 5+2 con duración de una (01) hora de juego.
5. Los primeros 10 puestos de cada torneo acumulan 14, 12, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4 y 4 puntos respectivamente. El resto de jugadores obtienen 1 punto siempre y cuando hayan jugado por lo menos 3 partidas.
6. El sistema de desempate será el que determine Lichess.

CHESS BROTHERS LEAGUE - Season 2 "Gens una sumus": Tournament 2 Report and New Announcement 💪♟

A new day in the HIVE chess scene. This Sunday was played the 2nd round of the Season 2 of the Chess Brothers League, an event in which 27 players of all levels participated. If you haven't heard about this series of tournaments yet, check out the following post.

As for the results of this edition, @eniolw, with his solid theoretical knowledge, was able to take the first place, accumulating a score of 35 points after having maintained a very close competition until the last minute with @tony1294, who placed 2nd with the same score of 35 points. Both @eniolw and @tony1294 were contenders to debut with the gold in the league's tournaments given that all previous occasions had been won by the reigning champion @tungphong, who took 3rd place this time with 27 points.

As we can see there are some changes in the standings, most notably the displacement of @tungphong to second place, ceding place to @eniolw. However, after two rounds, the point difference between the top places is not exaggerated, which bodes more rivalry and determination on the part of the players to continue participating and competing.

Among the most notable climbs are those of @fjcr and @stayoutoftherz who climbed 5 and 4 places respectively, entering the golden zone. The most notable declines are those of @diegofitness92 (-9), Howarth (-6) and @lucianosky (-4) who have participated in both rounds of the league although with not much luck this time. It is also noteworthy that @schamangerbert remains within the winners zone thanks to his remarkable result in the previous round.

On the other hand, it is worth mentioning that we only had 3 absences compared to the last tournament (emichessmaster, madykrise and Eliana12), which means that 85% of the previous participants have been consistent so far!

We also have 9 first time players in the season, namely @eliaschess333, @pamboy27 and @vjap55 who are already known to us, and Chacald, Edixonluna1987, Emiliano120, JMPC81, Jonbellionfan and Lastholy, to whom we apologize for not knowing their Hive accounts :D If you have it, please let us know in the comments section.

Now let's take a look at the games, let's talk about...

The Unexpected Twists of the Day!!

We couldn't miss some fun, and what better way to do it than from the happenings experienced during the tournament, such as the blunders and turnarounds? Even the highest level players blunder from time to time. We have dedicated this section of the post to make the review of moments like these, all for the sake of maintaining a jovial attitude and more importantly, to learn and not commit these mistakes again.

Let's take a look at this case:

@vjap55 vs @stayoutoftherz

Unfortunately, black's position is quite deteriorated and white should have no major problems in materializing the victory. In chess it is important to try to wear down your opponent. Even if he already has a bad position, doing this will increase his chances of making a mistake. In this game the second player may have already been worn down, since with his subsequent moves he accelerated events.

17. Bf4 Nd7 18. O-O-O was played, after which black mechanically played 18... O-O-O??

@vjap55 vs @stayoutoftherz Black has just played 18. O-O-O??

Now white gives the elegant Morphy's Mate: 19. Ba6#, a quite famous pattern that has been used for the solution of many, many tactical puzzles. The good thing is this first round loss was no big deal, as @stayoutoftherz was able to bounce back and break into the top 10.

Let's look at another case.

@rodrook vs @tony1294 Black wasn't lucky with his opening play

After some roller coaster events, both players were on the verge of collapse after a rather frantic hour of play. The tournament was about to end and @tony1294 needed the victory to secure the win of the round. However, @rodrook, who has been improving his game progressively, would sentence the second player to defeat with his strong piece activity, thus extinguishing @tony1294's hopes of winning his first gold. After 20... Rhc8? white gets an advantage by playing 21. Qh5+ Ke7 22. Bf4 h6? 23. Qg6 invading black's ground. The game went on for a few more moves and in the face of white's enormous pressure, black collapsed and gave up.

A great achievement for our chess mate @rodrook, who beats an opponent with more than 800 points difference in rating and whose victory is definitely one of the candidates for the Greatest Upset Prize.

1. It will take place on Lichess.org.
2. Join the Chess Brothers team.
3. Date and time: Sunday, October 31 at 19 GMT (3pm Venezuelan time).
4. Mode and time control: 5+2 Arena with duration of one (01) hour of play.
5. The first 10 places of each tournament accumulate 14, 12, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4 and 4 points respectively. The rest of the players get 1 point as long as they have played at least 3 games.
6. The tie-breaking system will be determined by Lichess.
