La vida pone obstáculos que solo nosotros podemos atravesar, cualquier situación que se nos presente y nos pongamos el objetivo de superar cualquier barrera para alcanzar nuestro sueño, es de mucha satisfacción ir consiguiendo los logros, en nuestras carreras profesionales o vida personal. Mi ausencia que he tenido en #Hive se debe a que alcance uno de mis mayores sueños, trabajar en uno de los medios de comunicación más importante de mi estado; La Prensa de Monagas.
Life puts obstacles that only we can go through, any situation that comes our way and we set the goal of overcoming any barrier to achieve our dream, it is very satisfying to be getting the achievements in our careers or personal life. My absence that I have had in #Hive is because I reached one of my biggest dreams, to work in one of the most important media in my state; La Prensa de Monagas.

Estamos en la previa del Día del Periodista, que se celebra este martes 27 de junio y tendré la dicha de festejar mi primer año como profesional de la comunicación (más allá que aún no tenga mi título universitario a la mano).
We are in the run-up to Journalist's Day, which will be celebrated this Tuesday, June 27, and I will have the joy of celebrating my first year as a communications professional (even though I still don't have my university degree in hand).
Desde aproximadamente dos meses estoy siendo el Community Manager de La Prensa de Monagas, un día recibí una llamada para unirme al equipo de este medio considerado número uno del estado, con una larga trayectoria y en el cual soñaba con trabajar, nunca pensé que todo se diera tan rápido y de repente.
For about two months I have been the Community Manager of La Prensa de Monagas, one day I received a call to join the team of this media considered number one in the state, with a long history and in which I dreamed of working, I never thought that everything would happen so fast and suddenly.
Hay un dicho que dice: "la idea no es llegar, sino mantenerse", me tomo el permiso de pedir prestado esa cita, pero es justo lo que intentó seguir. Una vez que uno llega al lugar en el que quiere estar, se encarga de trabajar día a día para mantenerse.
There is a saying that goes, "the idea is not to get there, but to stay there", I take the permission to borrow that quote, but it is just what I tried to follow. Once you get to the place you want to be, you take it upon yourself to work day in and day out to stay there.
Me encargo de manejar las redes sociales, pero como todo apasionado he ido aprendiendo muchas áreas de la comunicación, tales como la de subir contenido a la página web, editar videos y hasta posar para la cámara, y es que sí, me ha tocado ser hasta modelo en estos gratificantes 2 meses siendo parte de la corporación más grande de oriente y es que el equipo de periodistas le ha tocado posar para el semanario especial del Día del Periodista. Debe estar rodando por las calles de Maturín mi pose de "modelo".
I am in charge of managing the social networks, but like all passionate I have been learning many areas of communication, such as uploading content to the website, editing videos and even posing for the camera, and yes, it has touched me to be even model in these gratifying 2 months being part of the largest corporation in the east and is that the team of journalists has had to pose for the special weekly Journalist's Day. My "model" pose must be rolling through the streets of Maturin.

Cito otra frase: "el que no coje consejos no llega a viejo", el poder de escuchar es una de las herramientas que tenemos que llevar, ahora en esta etapa de mi vida en la que me rodeó de personas que llevan años en el periodismo para cada día ir mejorando en lo que hago, tengo la fortuna de trabajar con un equipo totalmente capacitado y el sentirme parte de ese grupo es lo máximo, pero al mismo tiempo hay que saber aprovechar la posición en la que estamos para positivo.
I quote another phrase: "he who does not take advice does not grow old", the power of listening is one of the tools we have to carry, now at this stage of my life in which I am surrounded by people who have been in journalism for years to improve every day in what I do, I am fortunate to work with a fully trained team and feeling part of that group is the best, but at the same time we must know how to take advantage of the position in which we are for positive.

¿Cuál es mi función? // What is my role?
Principalmente soy el Community Manager, también aportó como periodista deportivo, cumplo la función de cubrir noticias deportivas en el estado Monagas y me meto un poco con el entrenamiento internacional. Además que relleno la página de deportes del semanario de La Prensa de Monagas.
I am mainly the Community Manager, I also contribute as a sports journalist, I cover sports news in the state of Monagas and I get involved a little with international training. I also fill the sports page of the weekly La Prensa de Monagas.
¿Qué tal el equipo de trabajo? // How is the work team?

El término, mejor imposible, encajaría bien. Los primeros días estaba ese nervio de encontrarme con personas que quieran aprovecharse el tener más experiencia que yo e intentar humillarme, pero la realidad fue otra, me recibieron como uno más, con esa empatía de que todos en algún momento pasaron por ese momento de llegar a un lugar nuevo, así para mí lo fue porque no conocía a ninguno de ellos, lo importante es que poco a poco he entrado más en confianza con todos ellos y creado una armonía. Una complicidad con el día a día, el trabajo duro y todo lo nos podamos ayudar los unos a los otros para hacer algo impecable.
The term, better than impossible, would fit well. The first days there was that nerve of meeting people who want to take advantage of having more experience than me and try to humiliate me, but the reality was different, I was received as one more, with that empathy that everyone at some point went through that moment of arriving at a new place, so it was for me because I did not know any of them, the important thing is that little by little I have become more confident with all of them and created a harmony. A complicity with the day to day, the hard work and everything we can help each other to do something impeccable.

Cómo les mencioné, en la corporación comunicacional más grande de oriente, dentro de ella podemos encontrar emisoras de radio, tales como la Gran FM, Cantaclaro, Radio Sol entre otras de nuestro estado Monagas, además de el medio impreso, La Prensa de Monagas.
As I mentioned, in the largest communication corporation in the east, within it we can find radio stations such as Gran FM, Cantaclaro, Radio Sol among others in our state of Monagas, in addition to the print media, La Prensa de Monagas.
La Prensa (es para mí y estoy seguro que para muchos también), el medio impreso más importante de Monagas. Recuerdo de pequeño mi mamá cuando me llevaba a la escuela lo compraba y si no había ese buscaba otra opción, pero el favorito por los monaguenses es La Prensa de Monagas.
La Prensa is for me and I am sure for many, the most important printed media in Monagas. I remember when I was a child my mother used to buy it when she took me to school and if there was no newspaper she would look for another option, but the favorite for the people of Monagas is La Prensa de Monagas.
