Cuando me preguntan: ¿Tienes amigos fieles? Saludos a todos mis amigos de esta comunidad. Siempre me he caracterizado por ser una persona amable, humilde, carismática, bondadosa y empática, siempre haciendo las cosas desde el corazón. Muchos me preguntan por qué siento la necesidad de ayudar a todos los que llegan a mi vida. La respuesta es simple: desde niña tengo esta virtud, junto con los valores y la humildad que mis padres me han enseñado a lo largo de los años.
When people ask me, "Do you have loyal friends?" Greetings to all my friends in this community. I have always been known for being a kind, humble, charismatic, caring, and empathetic person, always doing things from the heart. Many people ask me why I feel the need to help everyone who comes into my life. The answer is simple: I have had this virtue since I was a child, along with the values and humility that my parents have taught me over the years.
En cada lugar que he llegado, siempre he encontrado personas que me dicen: 'Militza, tienes un hermoso don que Dios te ha regalado, el don de ayudar al prójimo; irradias una luz divina que se hace notable de inmediato.' Al escuchar estas palabras, mi rostro se sonrojaba y solo podía responder: "Gracias por tan amable comentario." Sin embargo, ayudar a quienes lo necesitan ha sido algo que he disfrutado hacer desde niña, y si puedo hacerlo, ¿por qué no ofrecer mi mano amiga?.
Everywhere I have been, I have always found people who say to me: "Militza, you have a beautiful gift that God has given you, the gift of helping others; you radiate a divine light that is immediately noticeable." When I heard these words, my face would blush and I could only respond: "Thank you for your kind words." However, helping those in need has been something I have enjoyed doing since I was a child, and if I can do it, why not offer a helping hand?
Creo que vinimos a este mundo para hacer el bien sin esperar nada a cambio. Si esperamos retribución por los favores que hacemos, significa que nuestras acciones no provienen del corazón y estamos falta de empatía hacia los demás. Permítanme compartir algo desde mi experiencia de vida: pasé muchos años con problemas de salud que me llevaron al abismo de la muerte. Esta situación no fue nada fácil para mi familia, especialmente en un momento en que comenzábamos a enfrentar dificultades económicas en Venezuela.
I believe we came into this world to do good without expecting anything in return. If we expect repayment for the favors we do, it means that our actions do not come from the heart and we lack empathy for others. Let me share something from my own life experience: I spent many years with health problems that brought me to the brink of death. This situation was not easy for my family, especially at a time when we were beginning to face economic difficulties in Venezuela.
A pesar de mi situación, siempre me mantuve firme y positiva, mientras veía a mi esposo y a mi familia luchar día a día en busca de un diagnóstico definitivo. Mi esposo nunca se rindió en este proceso que nos tocó asumir; le debo la vida a Dios, porque creo firmemente que aún hay un propósito en mi vida, y a mi esposo, por no dejarse vencer en ningún momento ante la gravedad de mi salud. Y ahora, en relación a mi tema: cuando me preguntan, ¿tienes amigos fieles?, les cuento que en este difícil momento de mi vida, muchos familiares, amigos leales y compañeros de trabajo se mantuvieron firmes apoyándome.
Despite my situation, I always remained strong and positive, while I watched my husband and family struggle day after day in search of a definitive diagnosis. My husband never gave up during this process that we had to go through; I owe my life to God, because I firmly believe that there is still a purpose in my life, and to my husband, for never giving up in the face of the seriousness of my health. And now, in relation to my topic: when people ask me, "Do you have loyal friends?", I tell them that during this difficult time in my life, many family members, loyal friends, and coworkers stood by me and supported me.
Recibía visitas diarias en casa de mis familiares, compañeros de trabajo y amigos muy cercanos. Verlos me llenaba de fuerza, aunque era triste verlos salir de mi habitación con lágrimas en los ojos. En ese momento, mis hijos eran pequeños y ellos eran mi razón para seguir de pie. Durante ese tiempo, recibí apoyo monetario de muchas personas, así como de todas las instituciones donde trabajé, familiares y amigos, ya que no contábamos con los recursos necesarios para la cirugía que debía realizarme para salvar mi vida. Fue, sin duda, un acto de amor, humildad y empatía hacia mí persona.
I received daily visits at home from my relatives, coworkers, and close friends. Seeing them filled me with strength, although it was sad to see them leave my room with tears in their eyes. At that time, my children were young, and they were my reason for staying strong. During that time, I received financial support from many people, as well as from all the institutions where I worked, family members, and friends, since we did not have the necessary resources for the surgery I needed to save my life. It was, without a doubt, an act of love, humility, and empathy towards me.
Ahora bien, les respondo: sí, cuento con verdaderas amistades que se han mantenido en el tiempo. Aunque no hablemos a diario, siempre aparecen cuando más los necesito. En esos momentos de reflexión sobre la vida, me doy cuenta de que lo que he sembrado durante años al ayudar a las personas sin divulgar lo que hacía, la vida me está devolviendo los frutos de mis actos desinteresados. Desde que era niña, amo ayudar a los más necesitados. Estoy muy agradecida con la vida y con Dios, porque a pesar de la situación del país, no nos ha faltado nada. Mientras tenga para ayudar al prójimo, lo haremos felizmente, y digo "haremos" porque mi esposo es como yo.
Now, I will answer you: yes, I have true friends who have stood by me over time. Even though we don't talk every day, they are always there when I need them most. In those moments of reflection on life, I realize that what I have sown over the years by helping people without divulging what I was doing, life is now giving me back the fruits of my selfless actions. Since I was a child, I have loved helping those most in need. I am very grateful to life and to God because, despite the situation in the country, we have not lacked anything. As long as we have the means to help others, we will do so happily, and I say "we" because my husband is like me.
