We men/boys have learnt always to say "I am fine" even when nothing is fine because that is the masculinity that our society has built around the silence of a man's features. You will see a young boy who has been told that crying is a sign of weakness, so they have learned to keep all to themselves, even when they are on the verge of breaking. And by the time such a man has become more mature, this habit of suppression is now part of him and his personality that to even ask for help becomes like a burden on him.
And as for the other question, I feel both should go hand in hand. Our society isn't safe enough for men to always open up. Because at this point, a lot of men cannot even open up to the person they call their partner, for personal reasons known to them and i,n my opinion, the world should be safe enough for us men to have at least one or two people whom we can open up to anytime we feel burdened. Because how do you expect someone to open up to you when you will continue to punish that person? That ain't possible. And what I have been doing in my little circle is that when a man comes to me, that he's passing through one or two, instead of flinching, I rather stay in discomfort with him for some moment, because staying like that can be more useful than all these long talks on what he should have done differently

Eggxactly ooo... If men are being advised to open up as humans they are, rather than having to suppress their emotions, the society should play their part as well by creating an atmosphere that welcomes, understands and equally cares. Otherwise, males might be forced to incline back to their shell.
But wait oo, is this not selfishness ehh 😂... Only you one and half cents leaving the rest of us to scramble for the remaining half 😑😏
