My name is Idoko Hillary Toochukwu, a 5th year medical student in the college of medicine, University of Nigeria, Enugu campus.

Wonder what I look like? I am just a one-off
Below is a picture of me
I have lived about 95% of my entire life in Enugu, the eastern part of Nigeria. Growing up, I had been an ardent lover of art, such that I was always caught drawing even when I was supposed to be busy with some supposed more important tasks.
I was into cars😂. Varieties of cars and trucks constituted a great percentage of what I sketched.
I loved sculpting with clay too. Of course, I also had friends with similar traits😄
Let's move to when I entered high school. I left my parents to go and stay with a relative, to attend school from there. I didn't see it as a wonderful decision by my parents, but I reluctantly accepted it in obedience anyways. This reshaped me as I started readjusting, adapting, and sieving out some of my mischievous behaviours which my parents had condoned. I dropped some things I ordinarily used to do for fun. I made new friends and it effected a whole lot of difference.
Though I wasn't the 'best' in my class to be honest, I belonged to the category just below the academic top dogs.
Growing up, I had wanted to be a pilot. But my brilliant friends influenced my career choice, because a greater majority of them wanted to study medical courses. I mean, these courses have been perceived as brilliant people's courses in this part of the world, you know.
In the twinkle of an eye, secondary school was over and here I am in my 5th year of studying to become a dental surgeon. It has not been rosy to be honest. At some points, I have even thought of giving up but on the other hand, I asked myself 'is there ever a reason to give up?' I always convinced myself with a 'no' answer. Nevertheless, it has been adventurous all the same. It has actually gotten more interesting now. By and large, I have gradually been building passion for my profession.
I doubt if I will ever for one day regret my choice of profession.
Finally,I thank God I came across this amazing opportunity to be part of this platform. A place where I can build, grow, and develop my writing skills.
Asides writing, I really love to hit the gym so as to maintain a perfect and healthy body.
I'm also a lover of football, a Manchester United fan to be precise. In addition to all these, reading and music has become a thing for me. Anyways, what do you expect from a stressed out medical student🤷♂️
