As this month of January is approaching to the end, I sat down to start thinking how January have actually been for me personally. Looking back to what I have been able to do and which I have not been able to do in the month of January towards my 2025 goals as it is always needed.
Just like everyone or majority of us, whenever there is a new year, we are always eager to start with so much zeal and enthusiasm so that we can make sure that the year has a massive turning point for all of us. Same thing as a Nigerian I am, starting the new year 2025 couple of weeks ago, I actually set out some of my new year goals which I intend to achieve in the year 2025. I make sure that I draft it out as regards each aspect of my life
Talking from the aspect of my personal development and my health goals. I discovered that in the year 2024, I didn't really pay attention to my health which really affected me at one point. But this year, I discovered it is not going to happen again. I make sure I take care of my health and one of the goals is that I will be exercising every Saturday of the week for 1 hour. The exercise can either be in form of jogging, running or even walking. Talking from my own personal evaluation, I will say to a very great extent, I have been able to achieve it even though I was not consistent but to an extent it has been achievable.
Not only that, as regards my own personal development goals. I set a goal that I will be reading 3 books monthly to increase my knowledge and for my personal development. For the month of January, I have not really been consistent in it because I was just clustered With my YouTube channel I am running. That particular goal, I have not even been able to read any book so far this year. I am hoping that next month, I will adjust and have time massively for that aspect.
Talking about my financial goals I set because every year, I always set financial goals. My goal was to start a YouTube channel so as to increase my source of income. That I have started already and I am looking forward to continue building on it. I set a goal also as regards my financial goal to always save a particular percentage of income that comes to my mind. But that particular aspect, I have not really been consistent with it because there are a whole lot of expenses on ground for me. But I am definitely working on making it much more easy for me next month. I will be working on strict budget.
Of course I have learnt a lot even in this month of January and that is if I want to achieve my goal most especially in the month of February, I need to conquer procastination and I need to be disciplined. There are actually some goals which I believe I should have been able to achieve only if I was consistent and if only was disciplined. There are some goals I set in the month of January which I should have achieved but I was not able to achieve it at the end of the day and this is because I procastinated it a whole lot. But now I know much more better and I am really hoping that for the month of February, it will definitely be much more better than before. I am so optimistic about it.
