I read the other day that they are proposing legislature that will not allow supermarkets to leave San Fran unless they give 6 months notice. The fact that they are leaving because of out of control shoplifting isn't even addressed by the clueless or willfully blind legislators that are proposing this.

If they had that in the contract when you get a business license, then that might work. But the city doesn't have any way of forcing a business to stay in business. Adding this after a business has been operating for a while should not be permitted by any court.
If i was in SF, i would seriously decide if i wanted to stay, and be gone by the vote date.
Of course, i would choose to leave.
Comic U-Tuber's wife had SF hair stylist business. She got tired of picking up needles before opening each day. She left a couple years ago.
