Hello all! Another week and it’s time again to do another #myhivegoals post, a series idea started by started by @jongolson. This also doubles as my weekly progress report for #saturdaysavers, which is a fun little group that tries to motivate everyone to save and reach their goals. I’m going to look at the progress I’ve made on my Hive goals, as well as give a few tokens I’m looking at right now. If you are here for the comment SBI giveaway, well, we’ll get to that too.
Let’s start with my Hive goals.
Hive & HBD
With my 60k goal out of the way, I’m on to my 70k stretch goal.
Last week I made 359.32, bringing me to 62323.08 total Hive Power. That’s 89.0% of my stretch goal!
Math time. 70k - 62323.08 gives us 7676.92. Divided out by the days till the first of next year, we get 319.9 Hive needed per day to reach 70k by that point.
LOL. A little out of reach. Geez, even the whales on this platform don’t make that much on their posts.
Were only this year last year! I could have bought in $700 last year, which at these prices would give me my stretch goal. But alas, I can’t afford that this year. Fate is cruel sometimes! Oh well. Let’s see if I can at least get to 65k.
Silver
The silver chart for last week:
Mostly sideways and in early morning trading here. But still pushing $60. Will we make it over this week?
Here is a good looking coin that I came across today:
As a Dodgers fan, this is really cool!
Now, for the bad side… it’s only silver plated. But it is limited to only 5000, and given how historic the Dodgers run of this year was, you could be looking at a good investment here.
Hell, I just looked the other day and saw that the Ohtani rookie I paid $50 for several years ago is going for $5000. Now that’s Ohtani… I doubt you’d see such a gain on this coin, but it could go up a bit.

I did watch the last game between the Jays and the Dodgers with my brother. I'm not a big sports fan but valued the time spent with him more than the game itself. MY congratulations to the 2025 World Series Champs LA Dodgers.

That Dodgers thing is pretty cool. Is it actually silver? I couldn't see if there was a purity mark on it or anything.
Just silver plating, unfortunately. It's more for the collectable angle than the silver one.
That makes sense. I had a feeling, but I wasn't sure.

The Dodgers commemorative is pretty cool, too bad it's only plated silver. You know how it works, they make money any way they can. Big sports equals big money so the owners want to maximize their profits...
