Greetings!
The statement, “karma will catch up on you,” is not just an ordinary statement. In fact, it's an empty threat, but a word full of power and reality.
One certain thing about life is that, everyone would reap what he or she sow. If you do good, you reap good, and if what you are planting is bad, then you're not expected to reap anything good but bad.
So, the karma world is for you and me to reap whatever we sow. In my little time on the planet earth, I have on so many occasions seen people reaping the fruit of what they sow and this is in every spheres of life.
I have seen a child reaping his or her good and bad attitudes towards the parents, likewise, I have seen politicians betraying each other as a result of the law of Karma.
Furthermore, I have seen people being killed and maimed due to what they have once done. This can even be seen in the bible in the way Saul persecuted the church and was also persecuted when he became an apostle of Christ and changed to Apostle Paul. No wonder the Bible says, “anyone that kills others by the sword shall also die by the sword.”
All the above are to affirm to us, the existence of the law of Karma.
I once heard of a police officer who on duty killed an innocent boy that just arrived from the United States just because he wanted to exploit the young boy.
Fast forward, his own son was killed on the same spot where he got the innocent boy killed and when he heard that his son had been killed on the same spot, his first statement was that, “Karma had caught up with him.” which means, he had reaped what he sowed many years ago. Had it been he had sowed good, he would have reaped his good deeds, but he reaped the bad he had sowed.
So, when it comes to Karma, it's not something that's not real, even if you don't get yours on earth, certainly you get it in heaven as I believe that's the reason God has created the judgement day for all, so if you think you can escape here on earth, Karma will surely catch up with you after this life. But one thing I strongly believe in is that everyone would have a taste of what he had sown on earth by his or her transition.
Having talked at length about the effect of “Karma,” I would like to share my little experience of karma.
While growing up and in my secondary school days, there's this Yoruba language teacher who I got rude to. This man was not really happy with what I did to him back then as he felt embarrassed with my childish and foolish action. Although, I was made to apologize to him and also punished for the offence I committed and I thought within myself that it's over since I have apologized.
However, it's the law of Karma that made me know that everything was not over even when the man had forgiven.
I was made to know this when I grew up to become an English teacher in a public secondary school and in the school, when I was trying to punish a young boy for coming late, this boy amongst his other fellow classmates stood up and started embarrassing. I tried to curtail him but all to no avail and on that day, I was seriously embarrassed and after a little while when the dust had settled, a voice and a picture of what happened years ago came to me and it's then I realized that I was reaping from what I did to my Yoruba teacher back then.
Although, I thought I acted in ignorance and that I have been forgiven back then, but when it comes to the law of Karma, there's nothing like ignorance or forgiveness as it would surely come back for anyone found guilty.
In conclusion, ever since I know that Karma is real, I have always tried my best to be good to all so as to reap my good deeds, but as we all know that no man is perfect, at times to do good is always difficult for, but one thing is that I will not do you bad.
Thanks for reading.
Picture is mine.
This passage came to my mind as well.
I like how you discussed this. Karma could not affect a person directly, but it will always surely come around somehow. Like the case of the police officer. It didn't cost him his life but that of his son.
Yes, on the judgement day, we will reap what we sow. Good or bad.
Yes sir. Thanks for stopping by.
You're welcome.
We will all read whatever we sow eventually, it might take long but definitely.
Yes ooo, thanks for stopping by.
Well explained sir. Thanks for sharing
