Dreams Aren’t Movies—So Why Rewatch Them?

in #hive-1111030yesterday

Everyone dreams when they sleep, including animals, so that's not necessarily big news any longer. What seems strange and new is the idea of being able to not only record one's dream but also to be able to replay it over and over as much as you like. Dreams can be great, and sometimes they can be meaningless; sometimes they're a message, a warning, or even a glimpse of the future; and sometimes they're even our deepest desires and worst nightmares. The idea of being able to record one's dream and being able to record it sounds new, and being a person who loves to try new things, would I love such things or not? In this article I'll state my opinion on this.

To be honest, I don't fancy the idea of having my dream recorded to talk of replaying it over and over again. I see no point in doing that, and neither do I think it'll yield any positive results. In fact, it seems like a waste of time to me; I can definitely use the time I would have spent watching those dreams to delve into something important and productive for my life. Although I hold some dreams in high esteem, I don't think I need them repeated, recorded, or replayed to make me take heed of them. What I believe is important is holding onto the vital messages that they carry and walking by them to either actualize them or avoid them.

Replaying a dream seems like a waste of my precious time; the time used to rewatch it can be used to work on carrying out the important thing that the dream passes, and that's why I don't buy the importance of rewatching it. My belief is that if a dream is truly important and carries a vital message, then there's no way I'll forget it or the message it carries, and neither would I joke with it. Yes, I understand. I do forget some dreams almost immediately after I wake up, but I'm less concerned about those dreams because I have the belief that if I can't remember a dream, it simply means the dream isn't important in any way.

Rewatching dreams to me feels like someone is jobless rather than rewatching my dreams. I'd rather watch movies with that time. That's how much I don't buy into the idea of recording or replaying dreams. Alongside that, I also don't think I'll want to live in a world where such is possible; I don't think a dream has much significance to the point where we'll be recording or replaying it. It just sounds ridiculous to me, and that's why I don't like it or want to do it. The world has a lot to offer and a lot to uncover, so let me enjoy that and not play with my dreams.

So that's about it on my opinion on this week segment of the prompt and the reason behind my take, I hope you enjoyed the read, what is your take on this subject matter?
