My mother also thought this about food:
The way to ANYBODY’S heart is through good food.
and she too was obssessed with hygene
When you go to work in your kitchen, the first thing you do is run a sink of hot, soapy water.
She sold food in the streets for many years and she was very proud of her clientele, most of which preferred her because of how neat and presentable she and her stand looked. She will turn 81 on the 25th and she still lectures her 8 children (whether they want to be lectured or not) about the mundane and the divine.
