Whatever you did today is enough. Whatever you felt today is valid. Whatever you thought today isn't to be judged. Repeat the above each day.” ― Brittany Burgunder

Everything we do each day is contributing to our bigger picture, our aspirations and goals. Some days it will feel like we have achieved a whole lot more than we have on others and that is ok. We need to learn to be accepting of the speed of progress and growth. It is not all going to happen all at once. Our energy and enthusiasm for the journey forward is also going to waver and this is also acceptable. The main thing being that we continue moving forward, keep trying - keep on, keeping on.

A little while ago I shared a list of some of the sites which I generally visit each morning for a little inspiration and/or motivation for the day. I find it a positive way to start the morning. What I read this morning relates closely to this.

Life is not everything you would like it to be. Yet you’re working on it.

You’re working on it, and that’s a good place to be. Because you can enjoy the incomparable experience of making a difference.

You’re working on it, and every effort has meaning. You’re working on it, discovering again and again how to bring new value to life.

You’re working on it, and you have a lot of good company. You’re surrounded, assisted, challenged and encouraged by all the others who are working, each in their own way.

Life is a dynamic experience, driven by thoughts, actions, feelings, by purpose, by love. You’re working on it, and by so doing you make every little bit count for something good.
Take a moment to realize how great it is that you’re working on it. Then step forward and offer your best efforts yet. — Ralph Marston

Don't be too hard on yourself or create unrealistic expectations for the way forward - just take it day by day, step by step, giving everything you can (whatever that may be) each day. Life unfolds at its own pace - and it's timing is ALWAYS perfect. All you need to do is show up and get on with things :)

One thing was certain: life was a maze. There was nothing “straight forward”. Everything that pretended to be straight somehow ended in unexpected twists and turns, only to leave you full of wonder at how you possibly made it through to the end. You couldn’t just pack a pair of hedge trimmers to take a shortcut and hoodwink fate. No, you had to walk the path of life given to you with all its detours. The goal wasn’t to avoid getting lost sometimes—in fact, that was most unlikely given that you were in a maze. The trick was simply to keep walking. To enjoy the process of getting lost and finding yourself again, different and more grown-up than when you had left. One step after another, that was all that it took. One step after another, so simple and so utterly enough.” ― Meara O'Hara

Happy Thursday Beautiful People!

Until next time...

Life is indeed one step after another. The secret is to always get up and walk, no matter how hard it might be in some days

Precisely! Slow progress is still progress :)

So true hey Joan! That in itself is one of the reasons I start each day like I do - whether I feel like I want to or not... at the end of it, I ALWAYS feel better :)

Thanks for the wine - CHEERS to that!
Hope you have a fantabulous evening!
Bangers and mash unfolding here tonight :)

Days of our lives, we need to motivate ourselves to keep moving in forward direction keeping a positive mind.

Made Mac&Cheese which always includes mince at the bottom with veg, sun dried tomatoes a dash of bacon and extra cheese on top before quick grill to finish it off, more a layered affair like lasagna.. 😁 have a amazing weekend.

hahahaha Joan - I made mac and cheese today too - but yours sounds like mac n cheese on STEROIDS! Enjoy xxx

Younger son never liked veggies, there is always a way to hide them in pasta. Older son dislikes buying out since he always grumbles they never layer with meat and veggies under, so yup there is method in my madness sometimes.

There is ALWAYS a method to a mothers madness!!!! ;) I do similar things to "sneak" health into the meal for those that generally don't gravitate that way - thankfully, Jude is pretty easy going. A traditional mac n cheese tonight, but have made a simple, yet REALLY "good for you" salad to accompany it.... with roasted baby plum tomatoes, fresh baby spinach and olives. Ok Jude won't eat the olives, but he will eat all the rest. I am also having to cook for my dad now, and he is always moaning about veg which irritates the CRAP out of me, because I put more nutrition on one plate for him than he has in an entire week - but he just calls it "art food" lol

Olives I put to the side for those who enjoy, nothing beats veg done in variety of ways and this sure looks tasty.

Growing up 4 children my Dad who cooked I was the apprentice, prepared turnips, carrots, beetroot, radishes, lettuce, spring onion etc. each in a separate plate for each to take whatever they enjoyed, so you mixed your own. No salad dressings just straight!

In this case Dad new best 🤣

!ENGAGE 20

There has already been too much ENGAGE today.
