Now lets start at the beginning, the government threw the cat among the pigeons again, harder lockdown along with one of their favourite tricks "Prohibition", now due to leave tomorrow for a week out of town....
Week ago Tuesday car went for a service with our regular mechanic, gets a nasty bump with a young driver searching for his lost dog reversing up a road. Now I cannot blame him since dogs are stolen over here!
Everything today is plastic, front bumper broken, getting insurance organized they always want an assessor additional cost and time wasted, after unnecessary wrangling arranged repair to commence after the holiday. Having obtained an original part quotation, taken to insurance preferred auto repair for quote they realized an assessor was totally ridiculous, however each is adding costs on or trying to convince you there is more damage than the eye can see.... Yeah pull the other one!
Gate motor goes on the fritz, needs a new battery which other half did not get right, offered this small job to a pensioner advertising this as the type of work he does, he then wanted to come and start welding plates onto the system. OK some harsh words, he left. Awesome youngsters arrived reset the memory board of the motor replaced battery, all hunky dory after two days of stupid!
Older son has taken another panic attack just before full moon, younger son and wife are trying to migrate to New Zealand, while nothing is working with people paralyzed in fear of covid....
When I return I know I must arrange a new car which I can enjoy, then take my son away to better cope after losing many clients/friends (very few from covid) in this last year, business not being great some people cope better than others.
Woody, I know adds further burden with furry friend not being happy when I am out of sight.
Hive PUD unfortunately my brain is not totally settled, so no movement this time, although I must congratulate the Development Team and Witnesses for smooth transition into the HF25 yesterday.
Half packed and almost ready to go for a week in the bush, a three hour journey which if needed I will return earlier, wait and see. For now only arming myself with my phone and camera, no laptop, no strings attached much needed rest and restoration!
Give me time, will be back soon after hugging a hippo or smiling at the crocodile, seeing a fish eagle or two, know I will be thinking of you!
Too many are battling through these times of turmoil, be there for those both near and far.

Month of butterflies, plenty in the garden currently all shapes and sizes playing in the winter flowers.
Life carries on, we have to find some form of balance this being my sons second episode it is worrying with Doctors not always able to see people as soon as they used to. Hospital assistance is out of the question with them being under covid stress.
Hope to see many animals, mammals and bird life, a paradise to relax in @cynshineonline

Very torn leaving my family to cope on their own, have to be strong myself to be able to help, no use being in the wrong state of mind. Hopefully wildlife will adjust the negative we are going through at the moment. Have a great day @bucipuci

It is difficult. But in order to give strength to others, I have to be strong myself. Therefore, sometimes we have to leave our loved ones for a while and gain strength alone. Nature is the best place we can do that.

I'm so sorry to read how things have been and I sympathize. I went through a similar spell of things breaking and going wrong one after the other not long ago and I felt downtrodden.
Have a good time on your break and decompress, it makes a huge difference and I know you will bounce back.
As for the shit in SA eish, well, you know my thoughts - hey at least JZ got 15 months for contempt of court, I think we should celebrate the small victories - even if we can't buy alcohol to cheers with.
Have a beautiful rest and regards to your family members too - what business does your son do? Perhaps we can help to promote each other and strengthen the small businesses by supporting them instead of the big congloms.

Hi Iris, Yeah sometimes things just go wrong, go wrong, go wrong... then dealing with people on phones that want the job but don't wish to work, or work not able to think for themselves gets me down!
We pass close to Nkandla later and hope they are not into factional fighting up there, one never knows! As for JZ, wait and see, seeing is believing he has defied rulings previously.
Son runs a very local little software/hardware support/repairs from home base into more pension population with some small home run businesses.

Sorry about your car, why do I hate insurance companies so much? Because they are just another legalized thieves that takes from you and keep pushing you around its their turn to show up.

Arrived back safely, our province is going through tribal discontent with ex-president going to jail. Burning, mayhem with unrest we left early morning keeping an eye open all the way back.

Hey Joan I'm glad you are back safe! I had just heard about all the turmoil that is going on in South Africa and immediately I thought of my Hive South African friends. I'm so sorry to hear it is happening in your own province. I do hope you and your family remain safe. Do you feel under threat? Take care!
Had bullets whizzing up and down Mon/Tues/Wed night, barricaded in by local community, private security and our police, little quieter but still on high alert with instigators flaring up randomly.
Our community are exceptionally fortunate in saving our stores, yesterday and today people were able to collect 20 items within 15 minutes in a store, 80 people maximum at a time in large shops.
Fortunately I had some extra stock in the home to suffice for another few days, passed along food to people who don't have any at all. Local FB groups popped up to swap and or people collecting to distribute. Everyone is working together which has been encouraging.
