Up early yesterday and had the printer going trying to use up the roll of filament. Less than an hour to print and .5 oz needed I had it done well before we were to leave for the tournament.
Traffic wasn't too bad heading up and we were to the school by 8am.
We had more than enough time to get seats, and get settled in. The gym got more and more crowded as time got closer to 9am.
The kids did their warm ups and stretches while everyone waited for the eventual start.
I had a Vitalik sighting. Okay, more the redneck-ish version.
His first match went good and he and the other kid were pretty well matched.
In the end R got him pinned for the win.
His second match was a lot different. The other kid is really strong and really good at take downs.
R had a tough time resisting getting thrown.
He dodged and hand fought but in the clinch he was little match. He hit his head a couple times on the mat, then got the wind knocked out of him.
He tried hard but each throw hurt him more.
The final take down had him in serious pain and his right elbow began to swell with a big bump. A parent/medic came over and looked him over. He was in major 7/8 pain level and the elbow was super painful to the touch. We got him up and then headed to see the nurse who directed us to the urgent care in town to have him seen.
I gathered all our stuff and we headed the half mile to the urgent care where he was seen pretty quickly.
We headed over to the hospital and the xray room where he got shots of his elbow. They have a nice MRI? unit across the hall.
In the end his bone is just fine and it was just the impact and swelling that did go down as the day wore on. He got himself a sling for his arm, a note to get him out of p.e. at school for 2 weeks and he also is out of wrestling practice until we get the okay. He will likely be fine in a week but this gives us leeway.
We headed for home then and I was able to get the car emptied, trailer hooked up, and then drive up the 395 to the ranch we get our beef from for a bale of hay. The traffic was garbage on the way up and I was happy I wasn't going farther.
The sheep have been bitching to no end at me since they ran out their last bale. It was super easy, just paid in the store front then she called over on the radio and he met me at the pile.
Soon I had the bale strapped down and I was bombing back south to the farm. The traffic was much nicer on the way back.
I was home by 2pm and backed the bale into the pen.
The cage is seriously falling apart but still generally works.
Keep watching the Caps play on OV watch and they came out in the 2nd period guns blazing. First goal 7 seconds in and the next 59 seconds in.
I had been wanting to get it done for a while and finally hauled a pile of cardboard down to the burn pile. I tossed a bunch in and under and got it going but the wet ass branches didn't want to start.
I had piled tons of branches across the driveway so began dragging them over to the pile and tossing them on.
The boys helped some and the fire languished as I built the pile.
After liberal application of go-juice the pile finally kicked into high gear and some really hot flames.
It burned down pretty quickly and I was quite worn out. I headed in and let it burn itself down, which it did pretty quickly. The rain this morning didn't kill it as I see a bit of smoke out there still this morning.
In the house resting I got the printer going again and pushed out a pair of frame sheets.
The Kraken played the Oilers who were missing their best two players yet the Kraken still couldn't beat them.
They brought it back within one but the empty net goal at the end killed them. Just ugg.
It's dumb that snow keeps getting called for here. It's way way too warm for it at this elevation. Up a 1000 feet sure, but it's just all rain.
Decided that J and I are going skiing since R is not going to for a bit. He made it down the whole mountain last time so we are going to go explore the various parts of the mountain and the easier runs.
I have been to town for grain this morning already in the rain, the trailer is parked and I will empty it later today when we get back from skiing, or tomorrow even. It's snowing on the mountain so should be solid conditions. Depending on when we get back will depend on what I get done later today.

Glad he didn't break the elbow so he can continue competing. I bet those sheep are happier now that they have hay. ♥
Yeah we were concerned for a while but thankfully he is not broken
