Exercise? (re)Gaining Health?

I'd begun to look at my yard (s) which is really divided into nice sections, then thinking about the $150 per month I'd been paying someone else to come and cut (and blow and weed wack) and decided to purchase my own, battery operated/rechargeable mower.
I got about the smallest one (least expensive)

Above was taken AFTER I'd finished for now, His Majesty does NOT like to be anywhere near while this thing is running (and it is very quiet), also above the grass catcher isn't attached.

I did the foreground another day, but all told, cutting my grass all around is taking me (so far) about 90 minutes.
This mower has a 50 min run time on the two batteries, which is good, because I don't seem to be able to make more than 20 minutes or so at a time.
I hope to improve on this.

How would we ever get anything done without the feline supervisors? HA HA! Glad to see you have perked up and are keeping busy outdoors.

Thank you @scribblingramma , I am feeling better indeed.
I wouldn't exactly say I am staying busy, but I am not in bed sleeping all day, which is a good thing

That’s great Jerry, love mowing the lawn it’s a wonderful work out with the plus of being outside in the fresh air. Good move my friend.

Thank you Robin, @farm-mom

Doing your own yard work is great exercise and you get both health and savings benefits. I love seeing a DIY maintained yard. Two thumbs up Jerry for taking the challenge head on.

And at our age, the short work sessions is key. I do the same thing.

Would be very interested in hearing how the mower works out over time. I use gas powered for mowing, trimmer, blower and battery for hedger, edger. I do my own small engine repair, but do love the simplicity of battery, so don't really prefer on over the other, both have pros and cons.

Hope the high winds this past week finally subside as it's interfering with Spring cleanup here.

I do my own small engine repair
If I could do that, I've probably have gas powered things, but the battery powered things are working out well so far.
I have an EXCELLENT "Ego" Blower

Which is quite powerful, and will run a LONG time. I wanted a mower by them, but couldn't find one to suit my budget, yet
Thanks for commenting @nthtv

It's an excellent choice to go battery for the smaller engines. I crank n crank and crank to get my blower started to the point I'm half exhausted before I even start lol. 2 cycles engines you just can't adjust like a bigger 4 cycle.

On the other hand, my batteries seems to die after 2 or 3 years, while my gas mower is still young and purring like a kitten at 21 years old (dang, just jinxed it). However, maintenance on gas powered engines is time consuming and meticulous. Choose your poison.

I am sure His Majesty prefers quieter, in all things. My outdoor kitty asks each season, "Could you cut the lawn with scissors this year, pleeeeze..."

Okay! This is amazing 😍

This saves you $150 right? Even better

And you get to work your body a little which is a bit of an exercise.

At the same time, you arrive at a neat and serene environment to enjoy for as long as it takes the grass to come back up.

I am happy for you 🥰
