It's a beautiful Monday morning. The sky is bright. Children are getting ready for school, and father and mother are getting ready for work. The road is busy. Some students are waiting for their school bus, and some are waiting for a bike man or cab man. Some students are already walking to school because they are already late. Women are walking fast so they can quickly drop their children at school and go to work. The clock is ticking. Time waits for no one. Fathers are carrying their children to school. Everyone is rushing to their place of work, and students are rushing to school. What a busy and stressful life.
image sourceI thought, is this really what life is all about? School, work, career, ambition, all to make money, etc. If this is actually what life is all about, then life is useless. Why should life be about school, work, ambition, marriage, money, and after achieving everything, death comes? What a pitiful life. But no, life is more than all these things. The problem is that we fail to discover what life is really all about. That is why, at some point, you just get frustrated and ask yourself, 'What is this life all about? Why am I here on earth? What is the point of my existence?'
image sourceYes, that is the question every human must ask themselves. Why am I here? Why are you living? The day you begin to ask yourself this question is the day you are about to be liberated from darkness into light. Everyone on earth is here for a bigger purpose (a greater reason) that only God knows. Or do you think God would just create a human without a reason for its existence? Oh no, our God is an intentional God and a master planner. He planned you even before you existed. Only God knows why you exit. How can you now know what God knows, His plan for you? You can only know what God knows by knowing the light.
image sourceWho is the light? Let's quickly check this scripture, "John 8:12 - When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, 'I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.'" Now you can see who the light is. You also become the light by knowing who the light is. By knowing who the light is, you know the purpose God wants you to fulfill on earth. Through your purpose, you become a light to other people. You make a meaningful impact on their lives. But can someone who doesn't have light light other people? That is why you need the light (JESUS) to light your life so you can light other people too.
image sourceYour purpose can be born from your passion, the pain you pass through, or the problems that need a solution around you. But you can't know unless God tells you Himself. Pray and ask God today, so you can start living a meaningful life. If your purpose, the reason for your existence doesn't bring people to Christ then it's not purpose, your purpose must show people to the light of Christ.
