We are back for the 2025/2026 season of last man standing. Voted by the Hive Community as the best competition on Hive. As usual most ex users commented that they are glad Last Man Standing (The best god dam competition on Hive) is back but they were too busy chatting that they never gave me a bloody team for week 1.

The Rules
This is a very simple game but it is amazing how many people mess it up.
Pick a team:
Choose wisely, my friend, as this team will be your only hope in the treacherous world of football predictions.
No repeat picks:
Once you've chosen a team, you can't select them again. It's like trying to date the same person twice – awkward and not allowed.
Survive and advance:
If your chosen team wins, you move on to the next round. If they lose or draw, you're out faster than a referee's whistle.
One game at a time:
For the winners each week, you'll make a new pick. No looking ahead, no cheating with a crystal ball – just one game at a time.
No draws allowed:
In the event of a draw, both teams are eliminated. It's like a double-elimination tournament, but with more drama and less mercy.
The last one standing: The competition continues until only one person remains. The last man (or woman) standing will be crowned the champion, showered with glory, and probably a few congratulatory comments.
Over the last couple of seasons if someone missed a selection I would award them the first team in alphabetical order but seeing that Arsenal and Aston Villa are very good now, I am changing things around a bit. The teams you will be allocated are now the newly promoted teams , Burnley and Sunderland and Leeds. @nathan007 the mad bastard has went for Leeds so I will give him Man City if he forgets a week. The participant will have a week to put their selections in . Ain't got no time for stragglers.
Remember, this is a game of strategy, wit, and a little bit of luck. Choose wisely, and may the football gods smile upon you!
