Johnson skipping Olympics to focus on FedEx Cup playoffs-report By Reuters

Previous world number one Dustin Johnson will skirt the current year's Tokyo Olympics to concentrate on the PGA Tour's season-finishing end of the season games, his administrator has told Golfweek.  

Johnson, who pulled back from the 2016 Rio Games over worries about the Zika infection, is the first exceptionally positioned player to take a pass on the July 24-Aug. 9 Olympics, an occasion that has had a shadow thrown over it on account of the spreading coronavirus.  

"Dustin gave the Olympics a lot of thought and we examined the upsides and downsides of him taking an interest finally," Johnson's supervisor, David Winkle, said in Monday's report.  

"Toward the day's end, it's a matter of individual inclination and need. As much as he would be regarded to be an Olympian, the FedEx (NYSE:FDX) Cup Playoffs are likewise critical to him."
