Today it rained heavily from 4:50 am until 6:20 am when I had to drop my son off at school and it didn't stop until 4:30 pm. So today I didn't go anywhere and my cats too, so I had to take time to play with them so they wouldn't get bored. I usually let them run around outside for about 2 hours in the afternoon but today it rained all day so I didn't allow them to go outside.
I will put a donut-shaped sleeping hole by the front door of my house, where the cats can see what is happening outside. Snow, my female cat, often comes to sleep in the donut hole every day. Normally, my two cats sleep in the morning and wake up in the afternoon to go out and play, but today it was raining and thundering, so both cats refused to sleep.
I took out cat toys to play with them but they were not very interested. So, the last method left for both cats to not be bored because it was raining and they could not go outside, was to give cat-licking snack treats which are the treats that both of my cats really like. They both ate them with gusto they were very well-behaved and did not bite the bag of cat treats or fight over them.
After both cats finish eating cat-licking snacks, they groom their fur and sleep in different corners of the house. The white cat usually sleeps in the donut hole, while the brown cat doesn't have a fixed bed. He changes his bed often sometimes he sleeps on a shelf or under a clothes rack sometimes he sleeps sprawled out in the middle of the house.
