Saludos amigos de hivesucre, esta tarde decidí visitar otro sitio maravilloso al que solía ir con amigos, en esta ocasión se trata de la plaza Bolívar. Este lugar es muy icónico para muchos en la ciudad de Cumana, ya que es representativo para esta población. Aquí en mi país Venezuela no es de sorpresa que haya varias plazas a las cuales les pusieron el nombre de nuestro libertador Simón Bolívar y en Cumaná no podía faltar una, así que esta es muy emblemática en cada ciudad donde existe una, además es bueno, porque así recordamos a nuestros próceres y personajes de batallas que lucharon por liberarnos.
La plaza Bolívar es un sitio enriquecido en lo que a historia se refiere, hay varios edificios y estructuras que lo demuestran, como lo pueden observar en las fotografías que muestro como la casa de nuestro insigne poeta Andrés Eloy Blanco, la estatua de nuestro libertador Simón Bolívar ubicada en el centro de la plaza, una institución católica dirigida por monjas llamada las Carmelitas, las ruinas de la sede del palacio del gobierno regional y la sede actual de la gobernación. . También puedo acotar de que esta plaza está ubicada en el casco histórico de Cumaná o, como muchos dicen, en el corazón de Cumaná.
La visita de hoy me devolvió a las épocas en las que salía a recrearme con mi grupo de amigos cada fin de semana, hacíamos pícnics, nos reuníamos a jugar cartas o simplemente a pasar el rato conversando, este lugar es de esos que nos llega recuerdos cada instante, ya que nos mantiene fresco los pensamientos.
Hoy pasé un agradable momento caminando y paseando por esta hermosa plaza. En ella te sientes cómodo y tranquilo porque te garantiza una buena seguridad estando en ella. Siempre es relajante salir a caminar con una respiración calmada por las áreas verdes y tener contacto con las plantas. Nunca me molestará dar una vuelta por los sitios y zonas históricas de mi ciudad Cumaná para recordar y sentirme orgulloso de nuestras raíces, aunque existen personas que así no lo quieran ver de esa manera, debemos estar orgulloso de lo que somos y lo que construimos estando en este lugar, porque cada espacio de la ciudad se vuelve importante para cada persona, ya sea por recuerdo o por ser algo simbólico para muchos.
Esta plaza en fechas importantes se adorna muy bien, aunque últimamente se hace el esfuerzo para que luzca excelente, para que también la disfruten las personas que han venido a la ciudad, porque no todos tienen ese sentido de pertenencia. Cada día que pasa brindamos por lo felices que somos cuando vamos a un lugar que nos hace cambiar la perspectiva de la vida, porque nos lleva al pasado y este no se pulveriza con el paso del tiempo, sino que conserva un sentido vigente en el ahora, recordemos así como esta hermosa plaza me lleva a ese pasado que nunca volverá.
Greetings friends of hivesucre, this afternoon I decided to visit another wonderful place I used to go with friends, this time it is the Bolivar square. This place is very iconic for many in the city of Cumana, as it is representative for this population. Here in my country Venezuela it is not surprising that there are several squares which were named after our liberator Simon Bolivar and in Cumana could not miss one, so this is very emblematic in every city where there is one, it is also good, because this way we remember our heroes and characters of battles that fought for our liberation.
The Bolivar Square is an enriched site as far as history is concerned, there are several buildings and structures that prove it, as you can see in the photographs I show as the house of our famous poet Andres Eloy Blanco, the statue of our liberator Simon Bolivar located in the center of the square, a Catholic institution run by nuns called the Carmelites, the ruins of the headquarters of the regional government palace and the current headquarters of the governor's office. . I can also point out that this square is located in the historic center of Cumaná or, as many say, in the heart of Cumaná.
Today's visit brought me back to the times when I used to go out with my group of friends every weekend, we used to have picnics, meet to play cards or just hang out talking, this place is one of those that brings back memories every moment, as it keeps our thoughts fresh.
Today I spent a nice time walking and strolling through this beautiful square. In it you feel comfortable and calm because it guarantees you a good security being in it. It is always relaxing to go for a walk with a calm breath through the green areas and have contact with the plants. I will never mind taking a walk through the historical sites and areas of my city Cumaná to remember and feel proud of our roots, although there are people who do not want to see it that way, we should be proud of what we are and what we built being in this place, because every space in the city becomes important for each person, either for memory or for being something symbolic for many.
This square is very well decorated on important dates, although lately the effort is made to make it look excellent, so that people who have come to the city can also enjoy it, because not everyone has that sense of belonging. Every day that passes we toast to how happy we are when we go to a place that makes us change the perspective of life, because it takes us to the past and this does not pulverize with the passage of time, but retains a sense in force in the now, let's remember as well as this beautiful square takes me to that past that will never return.
