Saludos a mi bella comunidad de #Hive-Sucre, que día a día nos deleitan con sus contenidos, donde se resalta el turismo en el estado Sucre, su gastronomía y todos aquellos eventos culturales que tenga que ver con lo autóctono y tradicional de Sucre.

Entonces, tratándose, que todo este mes, se celebra la “Cruz de Mayo” en varias instituciones de la ciudad de Cumaná, pueblos y caseríos de las localidades, La Unidad Educativa "Nueva Andalucía" ubicada en Miramar, Municipio Sucre, del estado Sucre, en su programación como en años anteriores, rindió honor a esta tradición cultural, popular y religiosa como lo es “la subida y bajada de la Cruz”. Desde tiempo memorable, esta celebración se hace para rendir homenaje a la naturaleza, y por iniciarse en mayo las temporadas de las lluvias y cosechas.
So, since this whole month, the “May Cross” is celebrated in various institutions in the city of Cumaná, towns and hamlets in the localities, the "Nueva Andalucía" Educational Unit located in Miramar, Sucre Municipality, Sucre state , in its programming as in previous years, paid honor to this cultural, popular and religious tradition such as “the rise and fall of the Cross.” Since time immemorial, this celebration has been held to pay tribute to nature, and to begin the rainy and harvest seasons in May.
Esta actividad fue coordinada por los directivos de la institución, docentes de Cultura, docentes de música y otros entes involucrados para tal evento. También estuvo acompañada por los actores más importantes y comprometidos con la celebración, como lo son los estudiantes de esta institución, padres y representantes.

Es propicio resaltar, que esta actividad se venía planificando meses anteriores, ya que requiere de una logística bien organizada, tales como: el vestuario acorde para la presentación de los niños, la ambientación del escenario, la decoración de la cruz, la escalera donde se va a colocar, la elaboración de dulces criollos típicos de la región, y la bebida principal que no podía faltar, como lo es, el carato de mango. También podemos decir, que la decoración de la cruz y su fiesta se dan de acuerdo con la localidad donde vives.
It is worth highlighting that this activity had been planned months before, since it requires well-organized logistics, such as: appropriate clothing for the presentation of the children, the setting of the stage, the decoration of the cross, the staircase where the will place, the preparation of typical Creole sweets of the region, and the main drink that could not be missing, which is, the mango carato. We can also say that the decoration of the cross and its celebration are given according to the town where you live.
La actividad inició con los cantos de fulía, de una pieza tomada de nuestra cantante, bailarina y cultora sucrense María Rodríguez, ya fallecida, y cantada por los profesores de música del sistema de orquesta. Con esta canción, hacen la dramatización de la subida y bajada de la Cruz. De igual manera, y posterior a esto, se continuó con el baile de joropo de los estudiantes de la institución. Igualmente, se inició el canto de galerones.

Lo que más me impresionó y llamó la atención fue la destreza en el canto de galerón de una niña de 4 años, donde su madre nos refiere que desde los 3 años de edad, siente atracción por el canto y es innato en ella.
What impressed me the most and caught my attention was the skill in galleon singing of a 4-year-old girl, where her mother tells us that since she was 3 years old, she has been attracted to singing and it is innate in her.
Ojalá, se sigan cultivando estos grandes valores culturales y tradicionales con los niños, para seguir avanzando, y para el futuro, estos estudiantes sean grandes baluartes de nuestro patrimonio y acervo cultural, dentro y fuera de nuestro país.
Hopefully, these great cultural and traditional values will continue to be cultivated with the children, to continue moving forward, and for the future, these students will be great bastions of our heritage and cultural heritage, inside and outside our country.
