The species is Argiope aurantia. It is usually known by many names, including the golden garden spider. It builds up its web in an open space beside an irrigation stream, linking its webs to the grass growing there. In the golden hour, and the golden rays of the sun shone on to the webs, it appeared that some of the webs were like glowing with golden rays.
