My fellow film maker and I trekked all the way to the top of this mountain to get drone footage of the WMMT radio tower last summer 2021. The winds were harsh and I had to make some emergency landings, but we were able to grab some nice shots of the tower after a 2 mile hike, camera gear and all. The tower rests along the Pine Mountain ridge that spans from Virginia down to Tennessee and no footage had been gathered of the tower until our production. WMMT is a community radio channel that broadcasts to Ky, Va, and Tn, which is a fancy way of saying "everyone can host a radio show and play whatever we want" (As long as the music and folks ain't saying any dirty words."
