A few days ago, we highlighted some of the changes we made on ListNerds.
'Reputation Scores' and 'Chances. After the weekend of letting people poke around and test everything out, we got some valuable feedback from our members. And as always, we're looking to improve, every single day...
And reading people's comments on Monday's live stream, we have come up with a problem and potential solution for ListNerds.
We think...A lot of people's aren't sure about how to approach ListNerds, so they join as free members, poke around and then end up using their upvotes and downvotes...Very selectively.
We think a healthy and vibrant platform, needs people using those votes all day, every day. But to do that, members need to buy and stake CTP tokens inside of the platform.
So the problem is, people might not want to invest into some CTP tokens to get a boat load of voting power on ListNerds.
Solution....
We want people to vote liberally on ListNerds so we'll 'guarantee' your CTP purchases and stake on ListNerds.
Here's how it works:
Simply purchase 100 CTP tokens on Hive Engine
Stake them inside of ListNerds!
And after 2 weeks, if you hate the experience and it's not for you, let us know and we'll buy the CTP tokens back off you for the price you paid for them!
No strings. No fine print.
If you hate the experience, we'll buy those tokens back from you!
Currently CTP is trading around a penny per token, so around a buck...Gets you in the game ;)

I think it is a good idea but without very detailed instructions on how to earn Listnerd and ctp tokens, people are not going to get it. There is so much to understand that without step-by-step instructions most people won't do enough to see the benefits of ListNerds. You are going to have to hold their hands and walk them through what is going on.
Maybe an email every day reminding them of what to do would help. Adding $ value to the CTP and ListNerd balance screens might help. Seeing you earned 1 listnerd token isn't that impressive but seeing you earned $2 would have more impact. Making sure they have a mentor would be a good idea. I know this should be their sponsor but that doesn't always happen.
Another biggy is making them understand this isn't the normal mail. You want them to succeed not fail. They need to understand emailing content is more likely to get rewarded than emailing a splash page. (I really think you need to find a new term for what ListNerds is instead of mailer.) Maybe lower the requirements for getting an email verified for the 2 week period. Making it 20 gross upvotes instead of net.
One other thing that needs to be explained is why the open rate is so low. Originally I was an upgraded member of ListNerds ( before the blockchain). I downgraded because LN has the worst open rate of any mailer I use. It also has the best click-thru rate.
Also, I think you should go after inactive subscribers very hard. They are already familiar with ListNerds.

Appreciate the feedback. Yeah we have definitely flipped things here, open rates dont seem to matter much...lol But we're always looking to improve it because we know that's a metric email marketers love.

At first, that was my problem. I want to upvote emails, but I only have 4 and consumed them all in one day. Now that I have close to 1,400 CTP, I still have 19 votes left at the moment, but no email to open. 😂 I wonder if I reach my 5,000 staked CTP goal how many votes will be left unused? 🤣

Currently I am seeing a 54% spread between the bid and ask price of CTP.
I did buy 125 with hive left after my powerup this month. It took 3 or 4 days to pick up the limit order.

Yeah when volume is low, you'll always see a big spread. Need more people buying and selling it :)
I am still trying to learn the in's and out's. I got some really good help over on the Discord the other day. I think that really gave me a better understanding of how this works. I can't wait to see how my account and my reach grows.

On the other hand, for a couple of days I haven't received any CTP despite doing the same things I did and having more than 1000 CTP staked within listnerds. That doesn't seem to affect the listnerds I get that keep coming.

The responsiveness of Listnerds members is so much higher than what I receive from other mailers. The quality of emails are so much easier to read. For example, Web2 Mailer is basically 98% generic ads and 2% personalized LCPs, but Listnerds is a lot of people promoting their blogs and personalized LCPs.
This makes Listnerds the perfect promotional tool that reciprocates effort with results.
