Wolf Pack or Sheep Herd? .:. How would you describe your community?

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

I like communities, and I like to hang out with people that think like me, that like similar things, and also with those that are thinking in a different way... :) We are all different, and we have sometimes a great clash of opinions inside the community, or inside our circle of friends... And, that's great as we are learning a lot from each other when we have discussions, and we are learning a lot about each other...

A couple of days ago, I have created a post about building a community and who is actually building it and shared my opinion on that topic... Also, I have touched base about decentralization in that video, but not decentralization in the "ownership" aspect, but in the aspect of sharing responsibilities and tasks inside the community...

In today's video, I went one step further... I was observing some successful communities (and organizations) and tried to figure out why are some of them successful, and others not that much... Got some interesting "results" which I have shared with you in the video...

Please take a look and share your thoughts about the topic... If we want to build a successful community, we have to work together toward the same goal... We don't have to copy each other but everyone should contribute in its own way...

Thank you for your valuable time,

~ph~

The centralized model had the risk of becoming a cult, pyramid or dictatorship. This is why I prefer the decentralized model, where everyone has their own opinion, but is still open to others. Meaning they will eventually build each other up, to reach their own goals much faster.

We don't need to have the same thoughts or the same goals, as long as everyone has good intent.

You said it very well!

I forgot to put in a description my views about the LEO community... Those guys are really lone wolves... I mean, if you are a trader, you keep your info for yourself... And if they can get around and build a community, than everyone else can do it...

The most important is a good base with a couple of open-minded people... ;)

Thanks for the great comment!

Yeah, some of those LEO guys and girls are intense. But so are some of those in CTP. It's just as you said. That good strong base is the fundamental structure on which the community is built upon.

As a trader I think ,individual really have any impact on price. Real movement happen with institutional purchases. I guess there is no need for individual to hide info. If individual able to create a strong subscription model then just thing how much money he can make. (Just think 100 people just putting $1000 each in a month , and giving you 1% in commission. A safe $1000 bucks without any investment and stock risks)

I guess there is no need for individual to hide info.

Well, if you have some info about the future movements on the market, and you have to "get some moneys" in the meantime, will you tell that to everyone risking of price drop until you are ready? :) :)

Having this much internal info will require to be in "Board of company" . Otherwise everything come in public domain but not everyone is cautious to looking for info regularly.

I will personally love to sell the info (and take benefits) instead of hide the info and sail on uncertainty of market swing.

Well I'm not finding any groups of subjects that are things that I'm interested in on here but my favorite would be a #ctptak. Cuz that's where I learned of this thing and it and they have instructions and videos and all that kind of stuff to help you understand it

Great pick! I hope you will learn a lot more from the community and share your experience with others!

Awesome video Zoltan @ph1102 well explained about the differences between centralized and decentralized.
A lot of people i speak to online seem to be blindly following others gonna be honest i don't really get it.
I think this is just down to the conditioning of their mindset especially if they have just come from an employee status.

I think this is just down to the conditioning of their mindset especially if they have just come from an employee status.

Yeah... I think that I have touched on that topic in some of my previous vlogs... People that have never worked for themselves are hard to "convert" to entrepreneurs...

But, it's not just that... People in general don't want to think too much... I think that people would do jobs 10x harder for the same money, just to not have to think... TBH, sometimes I had the same idea... lol... 🤣 🤣 🤣

Thanks for the comment! Appreciate your input about this topic...

Strong Leaders are needed but instead of following one, leadership qualities are getting taught to the individuals. Following one can lead to collapse.

Exactly, be a leader, teach others to be leaders, and spread the word faster... The growth is imminent...

I could NOT help myself....lol. YES, when we begin to understand we need to lead ourselves & work as a community with no one above one another, THIS is when the magic happens....

We all have a voice & want the freedom to express it. But in order to do that, we need to speak up & not just go with the herd mentality. Of course we are going to agree on things & be excited to do similar things, but when it comes to a point of just blindly following something because of FOMO or not wanting to use our own critical thinking, that's when it can get dangerous...

NO one should just be liberal in giving their power away.... :)

I love it when I work with people that really are on the same page. Sometimes our ideas might be different or have different styles but, with a similar vision, we can easily work out the gray areas. (And sometimes, together, we may come up with an even better idea!)

Working together where you feel heard & valued is so important. I enjoy that kind of community very much & it makes it a joy to go to every day...

Your videos keep getting better & better... thank you! Keep rocking it, Zoltan! 🧡🧚🏼‍♀️

when it comes to a point of just blindly following something because of FOMO or not wanting to use our own critical thinking, that's when it can get dangerous...

I have to point this out... As I really believe that EVERY time we blindly follow something/someone (or whatever else), and don't do our homework by THINKING about what we are doing, we are giving our power away...

And once given power is hard to re-gain... It's interesting how easy can we give it, but how hard is to get it back... Because, usually the people to whom we have given our power knows the real value of it...

Thanks for watching the video, and it's great to see you around contributing to lives of people here...

Thanks for a great video @ph1102, and a really interesting topic, and yes a community with many strong individuals will have more ideas, and more ways to move the community forward, and to build that it's important to empower people to take charge and encourage individual initiative, not always the easiest, but needed to make it flourish, thanks for sharing, it's awesome.

Thanks for the pick! Appreciate the pointing Mr. Awesome guy 🤣

it's important to empower people to take charge and encourage individual initiative

Exactly.. that sometimes means to give additional power to others, and leave more space to growth... And that's not an easy task, especially for some leaders, as EGO is very often the biggest enemy of the growth...

Cheers!

That is a very interesting video Zoltan.
I believe that at the base of every community there is a kind of leader. At least there is the guy who created the community to start with. Starting from there it depends a lot on this person how the community is developping. I see a very pyramidal situation in Leo where things are decided and implemented from top down. It's efficient but there are some risks inherent to it. What if the leader for a reason or another is not there anymore? How does the community survive in such a situation.

When I look at CTP, I believe that @jongolson and @blainjones do a great job of integrating people and giving a lot of freedom. The community is developing organically through its members. Everybody works in developing the community in the way he wishes. Such a community has many heads that bring the project forward and it can survive even if the leader is not showing the way.

Both systems are interesting in their way. I find the participative, descentralised0 community quite innovating however. It's not something that I have seen often so far and it's really interesting to see how it evolves.

Tbh., I wouldn't say that none of these communities are decentralized completely, but it's a work in progress for some, that's for sure...

I would say that the problem is very often the fatigue (and probably focus) of the leaders... After some time, it looks like the community isn't moving in any direction, and without empowering your members, it stays there or going down...

It's a great thing to praise the community and supporting by speaking about it, but when the support in the field is missing, it's like shooting in the air... Maybe I sound a bit pessimist, but I like to bring my concerns to others...

A lot of people are searching for ONE leader that will save them all (how suitable to this situation with elections in the US... lol...), and when they aren't saved (as it's impossible), they quit...

That small gap when they are still motivated, we have to show them the way of empowering themselves... If we succeed, they will maybe change their mindset and save themselves... :)

Thanks for your opinion! Appreciate it very much!
