I was most happy to be able to spend some time today down by the river.
My work schedule lately has been very hectic.
Spending time walking around exploring and sitting quietly alone is so relaxing and rejuvenating.
The river is normally low this time this time of year. Many boulders and rocks are visible now and not hidden beneath the rushing water.

I found this great piece of Birch bark on the riverbank and carried it along with me and brought it back home to my cabin.
A wonderful August Summer day and some much needed time down by the river.

It's absolutely amazing how this river is so totally transformed especially in the Springtime when all the snow and ice melts. The boulders and rocks are not visible at all.
I can walk across the river now in some places stepping on rocks and boulders.
