There are places where it seems much easier to be amazed by the immeasurable beauty of a sunrise, where the sun seems to crown its newly renewed reign over a savannah of infinite solitude.

In this place, where three communities –Madrid, Ávila and Segovia- strengthen ties, clinging to their borders in solidarity, some towns seem to represent, on the adobe and brick of their old facades, the unattainable legend that brought men hungry for gold to to dream in vain of a mirage called Eldorado.

One of such towns is Espinosa de los Caballeros, a name that bears on the clay of its arcane tiles forgotten stories of reconquest and repopulation, where the old military orders played the role of guarantors of royal concord, encouraging the establishment of colonists from from North.

Even from a distance, immutable and accessible, unlike the ever elusive horizon line, the delicate stamp of its venerable church is as moving as the mirages that are formed in the mind in order to give an opportunity to hope and thirsty, even emotional, as in this case, feel that you have reached your destination.

Even up close, it is difficult not to continue thinking, in view of the persistence of its golden splendor, which was raised, side by side, by Christian stonemasons, Muslim alarifes and master alchemists, whose traces left their mark on sacred architecture, on the that every sunrise you look at the sun.
