I continue to stay here, mainly as I feel a sense of loyalty towards it and all my friends are here. There's a lot of development going on and there's so many features that make it pleasant to use, especially in contrast to Blurt that has so many glaring problems with the interface I just got fed up very, very quickly. I do know it's a dev problem and a time problem but some of those fixes are pretty easy if they're just running original Steemit code and they do make a huge difference to the user experience.
I also found that I wasn't enjoying starting again and building a readership, however, I don't think that there's enough people there to HAVE a readership. I also found that drama seemed to dominate whilst I was there (not because of me, haha) which seemed just to echo old dramas here which we've already moved on from, and a lot of moaning about Hive which was a bit boring really. If you're going to start afresh and make something attractive, spending a lot of time slagging off Hive isn't a good look.
I do feel that things have settled down a lot here drama wise, though there's always some drama going on as it IS a social platform with real people on it. But it's also big enough that I can find the communities I love and have really good exchanges with intelligent, creative, interesting people. There's some people who left here that I enjoyed seeing again on Blurt, but there waasn't enough of them to hold me there.
And that's not the half of it - There's other things I was uncomfortable with too, and was made to feel uncomfortable, but I don't feel the need to go further. Bottom line I'm Hive or nothing - I do love it here, a lot, even though I get burnt out at times.
