Contraception is useful for preventing pregnancy, but in the midst of cases of corona virus (covid19), contraception is difficult to obtain.
at the time of this corona virus pandemic contraception is needed as it increases the need for closeness of a married couple.
WHO has also issued an appeal for couples to use modern contraceptive methods to prevent pregnancy during the Covid-19 pandemic. Because pregnant women experience a vulnerable immune system, so that it can increase the potential for corona transmission for themselves and others, and to overcome uncertainty an economy that influences family planning.

Here are 5 ways to prevent pregnancy amid a corona pandemic:

1. Buy condoms at the pharmacy

If you can't get a prescription contraceptive pill, follow the injection schedule, install an exam, and check the IUD at the midwife or hospital, you can replace it by buying condoms at pharmacies and minimart. Most pharmacies and minimarkets are still open in the middle of the corona pandemic. Don't forget to wash your hands and take a bath when you get home.
2. Buy Contraception Online

Take advantage of online sales sites to buy contraceptives if you don't want to leave the house. Various online stores sell condoms to birth control pills, making it easier for you to access. Don't forget to ask about stock availability first and make sure the expiration date before buying. Try only to trade through official outlets or stores that have good reviews.

3. Online Consultation

You can also consult online first, which opens an online consultation service with midwives and doctors.

4. Calling a Doctor or Midwife to the Home

Instead of visiting a hospital or midwife, you can call medical personnel at home for an injection. So you don't need to go anywhere, like us in the picture above.

5.Use Emergency Contraception for Urgent Conditions

If you have already had sexual intercourse without contraceptive protection, you can use Postpil or Emergency Contraception no later than 120 hours or 5 days after sexual intercourse. You can get Postpil at the nearest pharmacy by including a doctor's prescription first.

I'm not sure covid confinement increases the need for "closeness of a married couple" LOL. Most of the couples I know are hating being cooped up, arguing endlessly and starting to plan their divorce. 🤣

Why would contraception be more difficult to obtain now? Pharmacies and convenience stores remain open in most countries.
