This is my first post on the Natural Medicine community. Actually, I've been wanting to write here for a long time. However, I didn't have time to write it down. I am a teacher at a local school. Now, on this occasion, I would like to write about the benefits of dragon fruit for the human body.
Dragon fruit is a fruit that is rich in benefits. Dragon fruit, which is well known in Indonesia, has even been cultivated by farmers in various regions in Indonesia. Although this dragon fruit is not native to Indonesia, this dragon fruit comes from Latin America. Even so, this dragon fruit in almost every country in Asia has a dragon fruit plant.
This dragon fruit plant tree is also included in the type of cactus plant. According to the literature that I read, this dragon fruit has several types of flesh color. Red, white, yellow, and super red. And what is mostly found in Indonesia is dragon fruit with red and white flesh. And these two colors of dragon fruit flesh are also the most widely cultivated by farmers in Indonesia.
This dragon fruit is very much in demand by many people in Indonesia, because with an affordable price, it also has good nutritional content from the dragon fruit. In addition, fruit that is rich in nutrients is also a fruit that is low in calories and has high fiber.
Dragon fruit also has a number of health benefits for the human body.
- Dragon fruit is very good for consumption because the nutrients contained in it are very much. Such as phenolic acid, betacyanin, and various other vitamins. And all of that can protect body cells from damage caused by free radicals, molecules that can cause premature aging and cancer.
- Dragon fruit can make us full after eating it. Because dragon fruit is free from fat and has a high fiber content. Usually, a good time to consume dragon fruit is in the morning.
- Dragon fruit is also very good for consumption by people with diabetes, according to the literature that I read, the properties contained in dragon fruit can replace some of the damaged cells in people with diabetes. So that diabetic is encouraged to consume dragon fruit.
- In addition, other benefits of dragon fruit are that it can encourage the growth of probiotics, dragon fruit also contains vitamin C and antioxidants, so it can boost the immune system.
- Another benefit is that dragon fruit is great for improving the digestive system of our bodies.
These are some of the benefits that I have summarized from some of the literature that I have read through the Google search engine. Hopefully, this article is useful for all of us.
