Not everyone in the community believes in free thought or?
There are a few members I've encountered who got mad a few years ago because some of their posts got downvoted and now they just go around downvoting random accounts for fun. And since they never post anything, they cannot be downvoted themselves. Some others are just self-righteous and often well funded individuals (sometimes teams of vigilantes) who believe it's their duty to stamp out everyone who disagrees with them (instead of simply using the MUTE function to hide accounts they dislike).

Not surprising, humanity can't agree on a single thing at the moment. But anyway, our group is growing rapidly, from Africa to China and Russia to Ireland the people know. Events happening everywhere, if you follow the actual news, not the television set.
Those people watch too much TV :p
Just ignore the people you disagree with. If they're not actually committing a crime, like a real crime, not just a THOUGHT CRIME, then you know, try to talk to them if you're inclined, but if you're not, just walk away.
Downvoting and censoring people for differences of opinion (or for "stupidity") is ultimately counter-productive and no matter how "well-intentioned" the censors are, it very quickly opens the door to fascism.
I don't fully understand this to be honest, the TV show, was it an actual TV Show or a game on Steemit?
I understand now, I need to check how this works first :) I'm used to working in IT and designing front end and back end system, so i just sort of dive in and try out functions, but I already realized this is also a banking account... so i better check everything :(

Hmmm, i understand a lot better now... I had a total different view about this when I heard of this from about 4 people in December 2017 on my travel in Cambodia and from back home simultaneously.
It was Steemit and I got sidetracked, I had already written a post and studying Cryto... but I got seriously sidetracked,
I see how you describe it, it's a perfect vision of outside. Has greed taken over bit too?
It's only logical but this system of crypto and awarding is just a system, and relatively speaking in early stage of development, I see a lot of practical and futuristic application like an advanced electronic democracy, but maybe we are not ready for this.
The people could set themselves free with a system like this. That's the part I loved about this, we are now making our own money, thank you but we don't need your fake loan for a service anymore.
Something like that but I still think it's possible, because essentially your dealing with people, and people like good ideas.
If I'd would ever design a platform like this I would like "the what" to come out more then the "who". So the best ideas come out on top.
Whether its a Indian girl or a man in Finland, I don't care man, I wanna know what the best idea is man or what very good idea is.
In Asian logic it's not about the best, it just needs to be good.
