Diabetic patient should eat plain food, sprouts, salad, upma, poha, bhelpuri, khakra, dhokla and light things. Green leafy vegetables, cucumber, bitter gourd, skimmed milk cottage cheese, soybean, amla, papaya, berries and fruits that have less sweetness should be eaten in plenty. Yes, consume more steam food or sprouts than more fried foods.

Here are some of the useful foods for diebetics.

1. Amla curry

Ingredients: 50 grams gooseberries, 1/2 cup gram flour, 1 cup curd, 1 / 2-1 / 2 tsp turmeric, cumin seeds, 2 chopped green chillies, a pinch of asafoetida, 1 tbsp oil, salt as per taste.

Method: Steam the Amla cooker and cut it into small pieces. Heat oil in a pan, fry asafoetida and green chillies, add jeerahaldi and add amla, stir, mix curd and gram flour. Add 1 cup of water to the pan. Cook the kadhi on low heat for 10-15 minutes, and serve with chapatti.

2. Healthy drink

Ingredients: 1 bitter gourd, 1 cucumber medium size, 4 tomatoes, a pinch of salt, 1 teaspoon lemon juice.

Method: Wash bitter gourd, cucumber and tomatoes and mix all the three things in a blender, stir for a minute, mix salt and lemon juice and drink.

3. Spinach Cheese Crispy

Ingredients: 1 kg milk, 1 cup finely chopped spinach, 1 tbsp lemon juice, salt as per taste, 1/4 teaspoon chaat masala, 1 tbsp oil.

Method: Keep the milk boiling. Tear it by adding lemon juice, add spinach and salt to it as soon as the milk breaks. Tie this mixture in a clean cloth and then press it with something heavy. Cut the squares from the prepared mixture. Pour oil in a nonstick pan, roast these pieces till crisp, burnt the chaat masala. Serve with sauce.

4. Soybean Soup

Ingredients: 11/2 cups soybean grains, 1 tsp ginger paste, 1/2 tsp cumin powder, 1/2 cup finely chopped green onions, 1 tsp lemon juice, 1 tsp butter, salt as per taste.

Method: Wash the soybeans and mix it in the water at night. Boil 5 minutes in the morning and separate the peel by rubbing. Remove water, grind coarsely in a grinder. Add 11/2 cups of water to this mixture. Add cumin powder, ginger paste and boil for 2 minutes, covered, sieve with a sieve, fry the green onions chopped in butter and mix them in the prepared soup. Serve after adding salt and lemon juice.

5. Cabbage Vegetable Curry

Ingredients: 1 teaspoon of cabbage, 1-1 tbsp onion and tomato paste, 1 tsp garlic ginger paste, 1/2 tsp turmeric, 1/2 tsp red pepper powder, 2 tbsp oil, salt as per taste.

Method: Peel the cabbage and cut it into square pieces, heat 1 spoon of oil in the pan and fry these pieces for 2 minutes, then add the remaining oil. Fry ginger, garlic onion paste and tomato paste, add turmeric and red pepper. Add the fried cabbage pieces and fry for 1 minute. Put 3 cups of water and cook it by covering it on a low flame. Garnish with green coriander. Fiber rich vegetable is ready.
