I found it interesting that two posts this week reminded us that 'freedom' is in our minds, and we can be 'immune' from the stresses of the world simply by choosing where we put our focus.
I realized that by distancing myself from the material world through meditation, contemplative prayers, and other various forms of spiritual growth, my freedom would never be taken away from me. Like many other words, freedom is viewed in many ways. My definition of freedom isn’t defined by what the material world has to offer, like going shopping, going to dine at restaurants, visiting friends/family, etc. My freedom is determined by the choices I make towards my thoughts, my beliefs, and my values. No government or pandemic will ever take that away from me.
This week's winner is @gentleshaid, however. Their post was interesting, well thought out, and postulated a really interesting theory about COVID-19 as a 'rich man's virus' and the resulting comments proved interesting reading! Congratualations, @gentleshaid - check your wallet for 20 HIVE.
