It was a normal evening talk, but ended on a high knowledgeable note. I found out something very interesting Ayurvedic medicine. My uncle who is fond of reading spiritual books, shared me about PanchGavya.
He even concluded that many Ancient scriptures such as, Belh Samhita, Kashyap Samahita, Charak Samhita, Sushrutu Samahita, Gad Nigraha, Ras Tantra Saar, talks highly of the divinity and significance of Panchgavya in human life.
What is Panchgavya??
गव्यम पवित्रम च रसायनम च पथ्यं च ह्रद्द्यबलम बुद्धिदंस्यात |आयुः प्रदम रक्त विकार हारी त्रिदोष ह्रद्रोग विषापहं स्यात ||
Gavya(or the things derived from cow) is great elixir, proper diet, pleasing to heart, giver of mental and physical strength, enhances longevity. It removes all blood disorders. It balances bile, mucous and airs. Remover of heart diseases and effect of poison.
Panchgavya, is combination of two sanskrit word Panch + Gavya. Panch means 5 whereas Gavya refers to cow. So panchgavya is a medicine which is made up from 5 different elements obtained from cow. It is blend of 5 products of Cow. It is capable of healing several diseases and practiced in Ayurveda.
- Cow Dung
- Cow Urine
- Cow Ghee
- Cow Milk
- Curd (made up of cow milk)
These are mixed in proper ratio and then allowed to ferment. Few other products, like Banana, Coconut water and Jaggery were also used to make the Panchgavya mixture.
Panchgavya therapy means use of panchgavya products for treating all kind of curable or incurable diseases. It is usually said that even after use of Panchgavya, if the disease is not cured fully but the patient is able to live much better life than before.
What disease cured through Panchgavya?
यत्वगस्थि गतम पापम देहे तिष्ठती मामके । प्राशनात पञ्चगव्यस्य दहम्त्वग्नि रिवेंधनम ॥
From skin to bones, what ever sins (diseases) are in my body, are destroyed by panchagavya just as fire destroys fuel.
School of Ayurveda confirmed that Diseases like Cancer, Diabetes, Blood pressure, Psoriasis, Skin diseases, Asthma, Chronic body pain, Gynecological problems, Infertility, Kidney diseases, Digestive disorders, etc. have been successfully cured within months.
It is believed that consumption of Panchgavya results in enhancing Life Force Energy, Physical strength and Life span. It also helps in strengthing human immune system.
Well I can imagine, few would be not liking tye mixture, as it has cow dung or urine. But, the ancient Hindu culture and Ayurveda does have many mention of these substances. They are intrinsic part of all Ayurvedic medicine.
The mere mention of it and then doing some research over internet, I started wondering, why panchgavya never been tried for Covid-19 cure. Afterall it is referred as heavens medicine prescribed by the God.

Yes indeed, u never knew the ancient medicine may prove wonder for any disesase ...worth knowing about it..
I knew, It's applied to soil as a natural fertilizer, and ordered one from Amazon and used. May be the proper mix is the gist for different usage ?
It is also used as medicine for human usage...may be the gist is to cure covid as well..
I have definitely seen cow dung and urine used on the streets of India for various religious and ayurvedic reasons, but I've never heard of this mixture. Thanks for sharing it with us, have you tried it? For me, I always to see third-party blind clinical trials before I believe in any kind of medicine, herbal or pharmaceutical.
